    Just don't expect good scores?

For someone like Tedesco - sure he may drop in price early - anyplayer with a high BE might do so. But having him all year saves a trade, and doesn't hurt you if he starts the year with a 91 like he did in 2017. Or a 94 in round 2 like in 2016

Even last year, Tedesco dropped about $60k over the first couple of months. But still averaged 49 points while doing so. It was hardly a terrible decision to hold him.

It is the minutes and expecting a lot from Smith. But I agree, these aren't big calls a lot of them. Most of these players aren't going to lose cash.

He is a bit of a toss, but he feels Mahoney plays at best 60 minutes. Which based on last season means he will average 35-45 points. Which isn't a trap. It would suck and he wouldn't really make cash but he wouldn't lose any. I guess he didn't follow the Trails too closely.

Both options leave similar cash left in the bank.

My foward Pack atm consists of
    Macc
    Fifita Marty/Offa
    Arrow Murray Lane/Critchon

    Very lost, any thoughts.
    Cheers.

I think Marty and Lane, just.

The list isnt worded real well. As Milch said, starting with Tedesco, in isolation, is a no brainer. But if you are, youre probably weak in other areas.

Only player I have is Mahoney. May have Bird.. depends on funds.

I have no idea who this 'butters' guy is but the name 'butters' just makes me feel all creepy and weird and shit and gives off the impression he is some sort of dodgy c**t.

Should he get named at lock and look good there I’m sure he will become a target for those looking for a solid centre, other than that, they have robbed us of any chance of giving him a go.

Yes a first-timer discount would have been lovely.

He's been around the traps for about a decade now. Means well and has some great information. But when you have the quality of stats blokes on here like we do it's hard to take him seriously with all his claims that he is the best in the business and has the best info.

I also don't think he has ever had more than 1 decent finish, although happy for someone to correct me on that.

And loves it when other groups discuss him. So in that regard, he could be the most well known Fantasy/DT person getting around. Although not sure for the right reasons...So here's a shout out Butters Very Happy

I mean, not only is this an insult revolving around technology. It is technology from 1987.

Damn SI you are a savage and this is the best insult I have seen for awhile.

Naa Ron Hall is a bigger entity in the Fantasy world.

(Though remember last year when he was just posting his shows here to get views.)

my tv broke wrote:Im quite tempted to have TPJ still, although logic says its too risky. Will still play big mins, comes on against tired opposition. Flegler will not play big mins.

Touched on it a bit earlier in the offseason but now that roles are more defined this is how I see Brisbane game plan working out. This will have a minimal impact on fantasy outside of attacking opportunities but should give a bit of insight into the pack

The move of Gillett from edge to middle is no coincidence and not related to fitness imo. Quite simply Seibold wants to follow a similar attacking structure to Souths used last year and Gillett is the best ball playing forward they have. So what does this look like? Lots of long shifts sideline to sideline with Gillett(previous Cam Murray) playing as the link man in the middle. Assuming that Nikorima throws the first pass most of the time due to Milford having the better running game(shades of Cody Walker) the bread and butter red zone play that got the left winger a bunch of tries in 2018 looks like this.

Right side centre Roberts plays the ball after an attacking chance. Right side second rower Su’a angles in towards the markets to freeze the defense while Nikorima gets the ball out the back and straightens towards the line. Flat pass thrown to Gillett who has time and space to decide to tuck and run allowing a quick play the ball or play the next option. If Gillett takes it to the line and decides to pass he will have one of the big boppers as a lead runner(Ofa/Lodge/Flegler all seem the type to fill this role) with Milford at pace sweeping round the outside. Most of the action happens around the left upright which gives Milford 25-30 metres to work with. On his outside he then gets the option to hit a rampaging TPJ(Gurgess played this role last year) for a quick play the ball/possible line break. Fifita is also capable of playing in this spot with his size speed and footwork. Milford’s other option is the classic Boyd 3 on 2 which sees Oates score in the corner more often than not.

So what does all this mean for fantasy? Gillett will be doing a lot more ball playing than recent years. TPJ will be getting a lot of space on attacking sets in the channel normally reserved for second rowers. Oates is going to score a lot of tries.

Tl;dr The offseason is too long and I’m a crackpot

Love the analysis. Will be funny watching Broncos vs Souths games, they will each know the play book of their opposition better than the team trying to execute the plays Smile Could lead to really low scoring games between them.
