Milchy wrote:I come back to Napa all the time. He is so cheap that having him allows big upgrades elsewhere. but his stats last year were just complete rubbish. 24 points in 42 minutes is terrible for a starting prop.
But his 2016/15 stats were actually quite good. Will the dogs be able to get him back to his best?
I haven't looked at previous years breakdowns, but were his run metres/tackles similar in 2018, but just more negatives?
In 2018 he averaged 2.6 missed tackles and 0.9 penalties a game, thats basically -7 per game (or slightly more if you consider that if you didn't miss a tackle, you'd get +1 for that tackle). Also got binned 3 times.
He certainly has room to tidy up his game without actually changing a whole lot, and if he does average slightly higher minutes its not outrageous to think he could score 35's.
I've not once considered him, but now I'm talking myself into taking the chance..

What are your thoughts on Mahoney MTB?
Napa in my team - in my 17 tbh.

When considering Napa, use your head as he does
Napa unfortunately is still living off that game where he destroyed the entire Souths pack on his own

Howdy Fanatics! Loving the banter, great to have the season upon us!!
Can I please ask if anyone has stats for M.Moylan when he played fullback at Panthers? I'm thinking he is a good value pick up now he will be full time FB?
Thoughts? Cheers.
Good luck everybody for round 1!

Macca + Taupau or CS9 + Surgess is the question?
Macca and Kapow is what I have. Feels safer

Hasn't left my team. Should be good for 44-46 average, imo.

Widdop or Hughes now that Widdop also has half/wing dpp. Is Widdop worth the extra coin and will his output increase. Both give the flexibility to cover the cheap halves/wings that are appearing in the 17s

10 games by the looks last season
Averaged 36, with 4 tries.
Those 4 tries came across his last 3 games before moving position.
He averaged 56 in those games.
In the 7 games he didn't score a try he averaged 28

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 13
Am I just a glutton for punishment if I roll the dice with Croft again after being burnt last season?
He really looked to pick up at the backend of the year, but who knows what missing Billy and having Cam slip into the halves will do to his scores.
He is also the best half I can manage whilst being ecstatic with the rest of my 20 players, but the more I try to upgrade him the more my last playing reserve suffers:
How far do I slide down this list?
Croft + Holland
Munster + Garner
Korosau + Roache
Cleary + Host/Burr (which doesnt look that bad, but I am already running one of Host Burr in my 17, and both would be

I would go Holland and Garner and upgrade elsewhere. I would take a chance on Moses before running Croft.

Haha, that team gives me 0k ITB, and though that is always poor strategy in a sense, I can never shake the feeling that those kinds of teams of 'perfect', which is a persuasive argument.
Munster scores pretty erratically looking at his stats, but could be a good shout. I had not even considered him before 5 minutes ago. I do remember someone talking up their 'M&M combo' though.
Thanks for your input, fella!

Over his full career as Panthers Fullback he played 40 games for an average of 38. (That does include a 1 in a game he got injured).

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 13
I've decided to sacrifice Mahoney on the bench to strengthen my backs.
CTR - Capewell, Holland
WFB - Edwards, BMoz, CNK
BNC - Keighran
Looks much better than;
CTR - Nikora, Holland
WFB - Hughes, Kahu, CNK
BNC - Mahoney
Agree?
