I think Holland matches Latrell for best centre over the whole year, no way would I trade him. I'm not convinced on Tapine though, I just don't see him getting the extra time to make him worthwhile. He looks like more of a gut pick for those that have him rather than one based on concrete evidence.

I hope you are right on this one. I see top 3 as Latrell, Marsters and Bateman.

Tapine is 100% a gut pick. Will have to be a better player to be worth it this year, he got enough minutes last year. I just want him there. This is the sort of call I’ll regret later.

In a similar situation. Glasby has my worst score of 44 but im most disappointed in McCullough 49 especially since last minute i swapped Friend and Fifita to Taupau and macca. Hope taupau plays well tho

    Haha fair call!

It’s a tight one so plenty of potential to get it wrong! But you can only give sound advice (as I’ve seen you do on here a lot) but not control the outcome. Lots of people get caught up on outcomes but I prefer to make smarter calls and deal with poor outcomes when they come. That being said, still salty I don’t have bird! lol!

Marsters wouldn't surprise me given his lack of tries last year but I'm not sold on Bateman until we see what his role is.

Keigran will kick goals so hes the obvious choice. but rav has the ability to score 100 with a couple of tries and some tackle breaks. or score single digits as aitken wont pass him the ball.

Fortitude wrote:What are people’s long term thoughts on holland? Potentially not over an existing injury? Spot safe? Thinking that dropping him to someone else cheaper and banking cash is a good idea, saves some cash to jump on someone after round two.

Thinking same for Tapine, could be better off going lane or even bateman. Save the cash.

Nikora going as well as he did was a bit of a surprise to everyone, but I think Capewell surprised nobody last night.
Running with Capewell and Nikora was slated to get you ~40 points apiece in the tricky centre position until Graham's return.
My thoughts were that as nice as it is to have two solid players getting 35-45 points reliably, I would instead run just one alongside a more 'boom or bust player' who goes 25-70 because he is not just a meat and potatoes tackler. Holland is definitely the guy to deliver that.
I in fact ended up running without Capewell at all, because having two players grinding out 40 points just doesnt seem like enough when I can be greedy and have one rock to stabilize the score and one to swing the odd huge score now and then. Ideally you would have all three, but my team just would not allow it.

tl;dr I think Holland will find ~45 average at centre and be right up there at seasons end; or at least edge out Capewell's "certain 40s" overall.

I would have said Xerri but he's already locked out.

What I've heard about him is promising. Topping the fitness drills and undefeated in wrestling drills all preseason. Seems like the prototype ruck control middle forward, something the Raiders have been missing is ruck control. I see him averaging 40-45 in 60 odd minutes

I was expecting a couple but looks like 1-17 both.

Still deciding on who to play between Brown and Keighran in my halves. This is painful. Any ISP stats for either?

Pretty happy with 6/394c so far.

Happy to have avoided McCullough, Hughes and some others who were in-and-out of my team but would've liked Glasby to have gone better considering he got a try. All my others have either gone as expected or better (Bird, Nikora)
