Negative BE this week, guaranteed money. If he averages 40 from here he hits $600k ish for $212k gain at current price point.

Cheers mate looks like that is the plan and Rava to Xerri if he gets a shot.

People talked about last week being a high scoring round, and struggling this week.

This week was higher scoring overall. 9615 points this week compared to 9440 last week.
For fantasy players, its all about who scores the points, not how many points are scored.

A key thing with Bird is that he is the perfect combination of negative BE and looking like being reasonably consistent scoring from what is still a relatively low price point. With scores around 40 each of the next 2 weeks, he makes $100k+ of the $200k in that timeframe, momentum is everything for price rises.

I am short of doing Kahu to Bird, unless my 2nd trade can free up funds.

Any news on Jake Friend? Obviously I want to keep but if he'll end up being out for a while might have to ditch.

Last season I brought in Friend not knowing he was carrying an injury and captained him, for scores of 36 and 20. He will play when he shouldn't be, coming back too early. That to me is a bigger risk than him being out injured.

Don't know if you missed it but there was someone on here who knows the Roosters physio who said it was a shoulder ligament injury that hadn't responded to cortizone in time for this week but didn't look serious. Obviously this is in the "someone on the internet said" category of news rather than anything official, but it's all we've got at the moment.

Bird is a tricky one for me.

I think long term my centres will be Nikora and Bateman. And I'd certainly rather play both of those over Bird. I'm predicting Nikora keeps his spot once Graham returns. Capewell is in Grahams position currently.
I have Capewell on the bench.

Bird's points are really skewed by his attacking stats. 3 TA's, 4 LBA's, 9 TB's in 2 weeks. Although no tries I wonder if he's had 2 higher scoring games in a row. No demerits this week also.

He may average 40+ but surely there are going to be some lower scores in there along the way. Base stats are around 30 though so he should avoid any <20 scores.

In hindsight I probably wish I went Holland to Bird this week instead of bringing Bateman in, but Bateman is set and forget there now.

The question is for the sake of making 60k is it worth going Capewell to Bird, and I'm not sure it is given the likely up/down scoring of a centre. Capewell's 30 this week makes it tempting though.

Very good scores around here, well done guys!!

Looking at some trade options. Bringing in CNK for some WFB stability. That means I can afford anyone from Burgess down:

Burgess- risk of maintaining attacking stats, gives me a solid FRF, $10k left
Tamou- cheaper, getting minutes, risk of losing minutes once Kikau is back, $50k left
JFH- killing it, might not score as well at Lock
    Bateman- consistent scorer

Thoughts anyone? Any other midrange players worth a jack?

James Tamou is currently priced at around 45. He hasn't averaged more than 42 in the past 5 years.
Bringing him in now is just chasing last last week's points.

He's getting more minutes though and he has a great PPM. His average last year was 40 odd in 40 odd minutes lol

Averaged 40 minutes off the bench last season, has got 56 and 60 minutes as starting prop under the new coach. Even accounting for injuries in the 60 minute game, they have a game plan that sees him playing 55 minutes.

Numbers from last year suggest Capewell should average around 40 and be fairly consistent. So he could still make 150k.

To chase the $ or to save the trade??

Kikau's back and playing 80 within a round or two. Ditto Yeo. JFH moves to bigger minute lock than the stand-ins they've had so far.

Bloody solid. Don't really know what to with trades maybe one of 212 EMG for Waddell or possibly see if can afford host + tolman to surgess + Waddell

Had the same thought today and concluded to save the trade if it’s straight Capewell vs bird

Another player for him though is another question

    Any word on sironen?

    Agree with this.

He was probably well priced pre season, but the 113k he's made already is probably most of the gain. He'll make money in the short term but once his 92 drops out of his price he'll settle to somewhere near where he is now I suspect.
