Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 26
After being poopholed this week, I’ve realised my sense of morality is doing nothing more then keeping me keep the warm fuzzy feeling of not being a scum bag. As of this week, I will transition to full scum bag and probably fuck up trying to poophole against someone else.

The problem is that most will have Brown and Garrick down there in 20/21 etc. Garrick gets locked when Burns plays and Brown plays when Sivo plays - locking him as well. Not many options to swap with. Unless I'm not looking at this right...
Horseburger to the rescue.
Edit. Nope. He plays before Sivo. Fuck looping...

Crichton probably has one more price drop in him also. If you're keeping your eye on Hess and he scores a 45-50 this week he'll bottom at about 595-605K, that is cheap
Personally, I wouldn't want either of these 2 at their current averages, even if cheap. They would have to show me a 55+ performance before I'd consider them. Going off last years performances doesn't always work out for the best, just look at past fallen guns.

Bethany_B wrote:This week just yeeted me down the rankings but apart from Dedwards and Burns, I don't have any super urgent issues. Potential trades:
Option A: Lane to Rein, Edwards to Tedesco
Option B: Mahoney to Rein, Edwards to Ponga (contingent on Ponga staying at FB with Watson back)
Option C: Mahoney to Rein, Edwards to Ferguson
Option D: Edwards to Rein, Burns to Pereira
I'm perfectly fine with carrying Burns this week if I have to, or just holding him if he's only out a couple weeks.
As of now I'm leaning towards option C but might go B if Ponga gets named at FB with Watson back (or Lino in at 5/8th)
For reference, my team is: $134K ITB
Cook
Fifita, Lawrie
Arrow, Murray, Lane
Morgan, Munster
Nikora, Bateman
CNK, Edwards, Ravalawa
Mahoney, Garner, Keighran, DBrown
Flegler, Garrick, Burns, Sivo
Before this round I actually considered Pereira. Scoring 40s, tries are base stats, cool name, great rig, sub $600k. But the top trade looks the best bet. Rein in some cash and save anymore Supdwards agony

Week 1 - 772 - 21,582
Week 2 - 809 - 12,953
Week 3 - 812 - 9,310
I should be leading by about R8
This week Tevaga - Rein, Burns - Xerri or Lomax or Allan. Depends on TLT. Gives me a war chest of $370k to plunder with next week.

What's wrong with Pereira? Dragons are going left a lot and have a juicy draw (Knights, Dogs, Manly, Roosters, Eels, Knights again). I think my best bet is option D but selling Mahoney instead of Burns (apparently only out for 2wks), since I do think Lane is worth keeping, while Mahoney is basically at his peak considering his workrate. Also I'd be free of Spudwards no matter which option I pick. CNK is my ticket to the gun FBs in about round 8

Sorry, worded that poorly. He's a great option, but you had Teddy in option A which I was more supportive of. I'm flicking Lane. Not as involved as I expected.

Fair enough on Lane, but I think I can wait a week on Teddy, he still has a decent BE and is against the Broncos who'll be fired up after the Dragons game. If Teddy kills it next week and Lane flops again, I'll make that trade.

I don't know about Pereira. Very awkward price and risky to be banking on tries.

Better than banking on the Dragons to play out to Rava's wing lol but yeah, more of a hail mary trade

I'm considering Pereira because he's averaging 30-35 in base + power stats and the Dragons attack is going his way a lot, so he should keep getting some tries.
30 floor and 60 ceiling is worth it for me at 520k

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 26
I'll give Burns 4 weeks, anything more and he is gone. For what i believe to be a season keeper or at least serviceable till after Origin, he deserves 4 weeks and could return to a POD if everyone sells him off. So pending injury news - Mahoney > Tedesco and Edwards > Xerri. With the Bank i should be able to grab just about anyone next week. If Gillett is 2RF i'll happily take his 45 this week and sling him for Ponga/Crichton next week; although, I really want a gun half. Maybe Hughes/Morgan > a half is on the cards soon. A few of my cows will be ready in a week or two (Sele, Sivo, Rava, Keighran, Brown). Rein will hopefully be a trade to CS9 if i can afford him by the time Peats is back. This is pretty much my next month of fantasy planned out.
We all know none of this will go to planned and I will end up in a dark hole of fantasy shit.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 26
A good (free) Daily Telegraph summary of the Injuries. https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/nrl-physios-casualty-ward-round-3/news-story/9c0bf6f553fc012458997221bb1f8d1a?fbclid=IwAR34u7NxdVkq6NDvE8nIymRI9wk5Czbzist-ffgoiS8IoqYcFZWCcN5mlkE&fbclid=IwAR0c0Zfmc5qZShc1A3ftf5NS2Vkqd9_uuLNi8SdS17Su1V5A40-P_GFW5MU
Highlights:
Burns likely to be out a month
Garner may be out this coming week (he deserves the week off after his effort coming back on this week)
Peats still to be determined the extent of the injury, anywhere from 6 weeks to several months
Even if Friend returns this week >30% chance of re-injury, more likely that he takes 2-4 weeks to recover
JWH and Gallen, if no fracture, will still be out 1-3 weeks. "Even after returning it can still take two to three months for the issue to settle completely, with many NRL players continuing to play through pain during this time."
Moylan likely out at least a month, has a history of hamstring injuries.
Luke unlikely to be fit this week
Inglis broken in 2 places, going to be a long year for him with ongoing issues. Who gets his origin spot?
Watson, hopeful he will be back this coming week
Lots of injuries to consider!

You are selling Tevaga? Lost faith in him already or you think Warriors are beyond redemption?

His BE is 35 and he is probably only a 40 point player on a normal day so not much cash to make and helps fund other upgrades
Trie, TA's and LB's helped his first two games. Averaging 30.33 in base stats so far. So he needs the TB's and other extras to help his score. Not sure if uncharecterstic but after missing 1 tackle in Round 1 he has missed 7 and 5 tackles for the last 2 weeks.

Base stats were similar to previous rounds but no attacking stats.
And facing Sharks, Raiders & Tigers next 3 rounds.
Eels are playing better than previous years so he needs to do better against quality teams otherwise he is probably the best candidate for a straight swap to Rein.

If Keighran is out of the starting team this week, would anyone be looking to punt him?

Don't think Keighran will be dropped just yet. Slotting goals and IRL looks alright and getting better. Think they just got outplayed this week.
