He was never worth a million per year to the Broncos, but good on him for getting it. The broncos have been rudderless in terms of game management since Locky retired. Hunt had a golden run of form in 2015 to help get the broncs to the big dance but we all know how that ended, although he was unfairly blamed when there were several other sliding doors moments. He needed to move on though for a fresh start for all concerned.
I am firmly in the ‘Niko and Milf are too similar running halfs’ camp, and we desperately need a game manager. Niko could be 14 to add some dummy half spark, but I don’t think we can keep starting both Niko and Milf in the halves and expect to be a top 4 team. And that’s not even taking into account they get targeted in defence because they can’t tackle.
When they are both on we will win some games comfortably, but we will never be consistent and grind out games.
