Yeah it's why I like some of the left field options that come up here. Easy to fall into group think. Wish I had the balls to pick some of the good options like Farah or AFB when it mattered lol

Feel I can't miss out on Haas but might go a different route than Ponga just to keep it interesting.

Now we've got Crichton, Ponga and RJames all ripe for the picking at the same time. I need a 3 trades week

    3 trades would be great!

Will you prioritize James over Crichton because of origin and bye rounds?

I’ve missef the boat on Tedesco I think having got Ponga instead so think Crichton and teddy could be post origin final 17 purchases for me

I do like Crichton running off cronk though

Looks like I will be double trading gun + cow the next 3 weeks and then try and rein it in a touch for a while

I'll see what scores Crichton and Ponga produce this round and work out priorities based on that.
Hughes having a solid score this week helps in closing the gap with Ponga, but also makes upgrading him to KP a little less urgent.

331/7 so far which is pretty good. Going at about 47 per player with bird and Sele’s shit scores. Might have to keep Hughes for another week. Shooting up the ranking, just outside top 1000 at the moment. I have 6 tonight with captain Teddy. Let’s hope this round keeps going like this

What glorious news! Another coach with Captain Teddy! I also have six others playing. Making Tedesco captain will either be a stroke of genius, or I’m gonna have a stroke while wondering why I gambled on a fullback for captaincy.

RTS is only slightly more than Ponga, and if you go off recent form would have to be considered. Ponga's DPP is useful though

Yeah fair call. I think James could be a nice POD for a few weeks so some nice decency bias has me leaning that way. Crichton the slightly better pick overall most likely

I just looked at James on MTBs site and this is almost a mirror image of his start last season. A ew games at second row before moving to front row and building up his minutes and scores

I have Hughes and Ponga but watching games I think Hughes is slowly getting more involved which is down to fitness IMO after watching him cramp up for almost the whole second half of round 1 and 2

I don’t think he’s a keeper but takes pressure off you for sure. I’m carrying him for a while before deciding which halves I want Medium term

I will say re Crichton, I would like to see a score above 50 without a try soon to scream pick me a little louder than James

I am holding of R James for a bit as Shannon Boyd didn't play nor did Moeaki Fotuaika, that may be due to the inflated minutes for James. Want to see the impact the two absentee's have on R James role/minutes/output.

    Haas maybe important than Ponga...

Who would you pick up that's cheaper than Ponga?

    R. James is now back in his best fantasy position role of FRF playing big mins. Every year he goes on this high scoring spree over 5-6 weeks & his score this week could be the start. I've been delaying getting decent frf cover for a couple of weeks & I was thinking Twal but James will be cheaper & plays round 12. Then after round 12 trade James to Twal.
I've been reading some great starts from a lot on here so well done boys. I've only had 4 players playing so far. Currently 211/4 no cap (Garner, Arrow, Munster, Bird).
Ponga will come into my team tonight & I'll probably get Xerri to get some bank. But I also have this Gutherson voice inside my head saying pick me not Ponga.

Something to note regarding James, he is a slow starter
Look at last years scores and role, started 2rf for the first 3 weeks then moved to prop

I brought in RTS ahead of Ponga this week. Lower BE, has been carving up with 3 scores of 59+ and a low of 28. Interestingly because of the 28 he is only $29k more than he started the season.

With SJ gone, last year's Dally M winner is far more involved in attack than last season. See him as a must have and unlike Teddy and Ponga will play the 2nd bye round. I expect him to outscore both for overall points at the end of the 2nd bye.

I think fitness and form do start to pick up now. Most teams have ironed out their early rounds teething issues and players start to click with their team mates.
It's good to see some of the slow starting teams putting up some fight in the games.

I'm happy to see Hughes picking up the pace. He just needs to learn how to break tackles and not just play touch footy and avoid contact when breaking the line Very Happy . We need these TBs

Could Bring in Haas and James for Edwards and Bird.

Will just mean running the WFB roulette between Rava and Sivo, which after owning Edwards all year probably isn't too bad

    Thoughts?

If Hughes can start to find a combination running off Croft and Munster he will be great this season. Trying to work out how I bring Ponga in next week without trading Hughes out.

Yep! Considering the 2 breaks he made and 2 TAs he didn't really fully cash in with a few tbs or a 2nd LBA as one was from a kick. Greedy? Yes, yes I am..
