Hahahaha (laughed in a Jack Nicholson one flew over the cookoo’s nest sort of way).

All three will average more in fantasy this year than Murray. This is not a controversial statement.

Get Ponga now. He's as cheap as he's probably going to get and you can set and forget.

I was considering Guth or even Meaney if they went well to stick in my WFB's for extra cash to patch other weak points in the team but Ponga is just too good to resist.

yeah at this point my trades will be:

    Sivo to Ponga

    Murray to Latrell via Bateman

For me, I've noticed that shifting mountains to get guns early often leaves you dry on cash later in the season if you continually milk cows too early. As much as it kills me to lag behind a little in overall (currently sitting at 8180) by waiting to get plays like Farah and Cook, I think it is more important to jump on the next big cash cows and fully milk those with milk still left

Got any better alternatives that I realistically could keep to the end of the season?

I say you’re wrong. And an avatar bet during the off season is there for the having should you want it. Murray will average around 58. Crichton will be doing well to start in the 13 Laughing

Idk where you're getting that from? his scores are heavily inflated by attacking stats and by selling him to Latrell, I get a guaranteed top 17 player and free up 150K that I really need (in order to get Ponga in).

Mitchell isn't going to be a gun this year because Bateman and Nikora are there. Capewell is scoring better than him too. If you can get a clear upgrade for Murray I'd go for it. Ponga isn't a rush especially with your line-up

the problem is that I don't have a solid 3rd WFB, and I've used enough trades that I really need to be buying season keepers. Got any ideas for season keepers currently under 647k?

R James, Critchon, M Mosses. Any of those have a better chance of being a keeper then Latrell this year mate.

Upvote for Ryan James, looks back in form with 40+ tackles and 100+ metres and he plays the first origin round

My first trade is easy, Edwards -> Xerri.

Will probably spend the week agonising over the second trade, cashed up to the max and unable to decide who to grab.

My trades have generally favoured cash generation as I don't want to be broke later in the season when I want the big guns and/or people start falling with injuries.

I'll whip up a quick example that hopefully sticks. Say last week you decided to trade Macca for Cook instead of say Brown to CHT. That trade would have netted you 37 extra points but cost you an extra 62k in the bank from not getting CHT in. Is 37 points worth not having 62k extra cash?

Now I don't know if that's a trade anyone would actually have considered but it's the best example I could think of on the spot.

    Cook (c)
    Fifi Lawrie
    Marty Arrow Murray
    Morgan CHT
    Bateman Nikora
    Katoa CNK Rava

    Rein Garner Capewell Haas
    Carty Xerri Staggs Brown

Really happy with all the cash generated players I have, cash generation this year won't be a problem.
Next week is Rava - Ponga
And when Burns is fit Katoa - Burns will occur.

Some Honest thoughts on the team would be awesome lads.

Even though I upvoted Ryan James, I also think you definitely shouldn't trade Murray by the way

any reason why you're avoiding Haas? it's looking as if an injury will be the only thing that stops him from being a big money maker.

    2 things -

    * If I sell Flegler for him, I still don't have enough cash to go Sivo to Ponga.

    * I'm not sure how he'll be affected by TPJ returning

    * I don't trust that he won't just get a few 20s in a row and fizzle out like Flegler has.

I could just go Murray to Haas and then get Rhyse Martin in a week or so (plays R12 and is definitely a keeper), but not too sure

Dragons coach Paul McGregor would be willing to play Jack de Belin as early as Saturday's clash with Manly if his NRL ban is overturned by the Federal Court this week.
