Young utility back Will Kennedy is set to make his NRL debut in Thursday night's clash with Penrith at PointsBet Stadium.

Cronulla are yet to announce their final squad but NRL.com understands Kennedy is in line to play his first Telstra Premiership match at fullback after being named in the No.19 jersey on the reserves list.

Josh Dugan would then move into the centres with Bronson Xerri shifting to the wing with Sosaia Feki or Sione Katoa relegated from the run-on side.

I'm just pleased it is first game. If Katoa is dropped I will trade him. If not and Xerri gets Feki's wing, my loop is actually better. Means I can loop both wingers for the sharks and choose one of their scores, or none. Also likely gets Xerri DPP next week which could be handy.

Xerri would be next to no chance of getting DPP next week.

They've said they won't be giving 2RF to Haas this round nased on a single late move to lock. So 1 late switch to wing for Xerri won't be good enough to give him DPP either. He'll need to play wing multiple times over the next 6 weeks to get DPP in the next update after round 12

It's cute that you still expect them to be consistent.

Talking about looping. This season has been rife with opportunities to loop. I don't remember "creative interchanging during the round" being actively pursued in the early rounds last season.
I assume it's because of injuries to cows like Brown and Burns, and the relegation of Keighran, that the loophole is readily available.
I still have Brown and Burns in my team, not for the sake that I want to keep them (except for Burns maybe), but because I've had more pressing trades.
I haven't jumped on the likes of Okunbor, Xerri, or Seleeping beauty. But will be looking at another fat cashcow like Haas in the coming weeks. Closing down any looping opportunities in my team

@Verbal Kint. Off topic: I’ve often wondered about your tag. I thought it might have been another way of saying ‘mouthy kent’, or something like that:lol: No offence intended. So I googled it just now on the off chance it may have been a fictional character or a millennial terminology of some sort. Well, fmd, a whole new world has been opened up to me. I’ve never seen The Usual Suspects (which also explains your team name), nor heard of verbal Kent. I had the heard the Söze reference before, but never associated it with a movie.

Mind blown. Movie to see. You learn something every day cheer

They were calling for “Nominations” for who should get DPP on FB the other night. A few of us on here suggested they have the option to use a less subjective method...

Didnt realise the connection to The Usual Suspects. Awesome movie, haven't seen it in years. Might line it up for a hungover morning this weekend.
