Finally back home and man it's been good catching up on the thread and managed to watch the Knights and Avengers today (dw no spoilers)

Scored 855 with Rava's score, Garner being out didn't help either. Down to 8726 for anyone needing a morale boost. Saved 2 trades which I think will pay dividends these next two weeks.

    Macca + Rava ----> RTS + Lomax

Then Garner, Lawrie, Burr combo out next week for Farah. Possibly usr Arrow.

    Team post trades:

    Cook
Tolman Haas (not having Fifita is hurting)
    Arrow Murray Bateman
    Munster Morgan
    Nikora Bird
    RTS Ponga CNK

    Rein Lawrie Burr Garner

    Xerri Lomax Brown Burns

Hopefully these next 2 weeks set me up for the climb back. Tired of being bottom of the pack around here lol

Thoughts on Garner to Kikau and Garrick to Lomax? Lomax kicking goals at rookie price seems really nice and getting Kikau in gets me a nice POD (1.7% owned) that plays R12.

After these 2 trades, I can stop trading unless injuries happen, since I'm holding guys like Okunbor, Mahoney and Rein up to R12.

41 with two tries today doesn't really speak to him being a good long term option even with Elgey likely beside him...........

Pondering doing something that will be unpopular on the forum and binning Cook. Was always the vague plan before Origin but started with him more for his reliable captaincy, and Fifita is more reliable this year. The move would let me bring in two keepers (Taupau and Crichton) for one, and leave money for a third (Tolo) in a couple of weeks. I know everyone is looking to bring in Cook when he bottoms, but I see him being managed over Origin and bottoming in Round 17...

I know people have been giving lots of flack for that but it's not the worst move. Just gotta work out how much it nets you each week. Personally I'd keep Cook as long as possible but I think selling Cook over Origin could certainly be a good move but this far in advance is a bit of a stretch. Personally think Cook is better for points but its a line call.

    Cook (60) + 4th Resrerve i.e.Burr (40)
    Taupau (52) + Crichton (48)

I'm looking at making a similar decision getting rid of CNK before rd 12. BE this week is 48 and while this could bite me if he has a monster game in the next few weeks and makes it to rd 12 okay he certainly could score poorly and lose cash up to rd 12. Mainly concerned because he is clearly playing injured. My likely trade in RTS is also injured though so I'm not sure if it'll be a helpful move.

More likely that Des just brings Elgey back in for DCE

What a blow for them. Surprised they steamrolled over Raiders late without him or TTurbo around. Daaamn

Hardly a surprise considering the deadly back 5 of Taufua, Parker, Elliot, Suli & Garrick.

And Taupau played 42 minutes. He must have been the one doing Des's neice. Shit a brick Des.

I really hope a new rumour starts between rounds 12 and 13 that there is an issue there and he switches to a team playing round 16 that actually appreciate him.

Whatever Des is doing is working for the team and I dont see why he would change anything. Fantasy coaches have to react to whatever happens in real life and not expect the other way around.

Also hearing Roberts will play the Rabbits clash then make his way to the Rabbits. Bad for Allan as he would most like take up the right centre spot pushing Gagai to wing and Burns will take left centre when back.

This will set up nicely for a punch up between Roberts & Gagai in mates vs mates Origin arena.

I think Koro and Elgey/Croker is better than an Elgey+Croker halves pairing. Fainu is perfectly fine to play starting hooker.

From fantasy point of view Koro is cheaper and if he gets halves role is a good option.

if Elgey and Croker play together, I think Elgey is the better fantasy option.

manly have won 4 of their last 5, with their 1 loss being by 2 points in controversial circumstances.

Obviously not having DCE is going to change things up, but I doubt Des is about to give Taupau more minutes just to make fantasy fans happier.

Luckily, Taupau is one of the only players that can post keeper scores in 40-45 minutes.

I might have to write Des an email. I find it abhorrent that he doesn't have fantasy coaches front of mind regarding Taupau's minutes

"I had a quick chat with Daly last night, he's hopeful of being back in one or two weeks, but he's waiting on scan results" @QLDmaroons coach Kevin Walters on @DalyCherryEvans ankle injury

Going to be an awkward decision I think.

Leaning to punting him, will obviously wait on further confirmation after his scans today.

I think even playing 40 minutes Taupau is the best fantasy prop playing round 12 and will be in top five at end of year.

Think his low minutes are a result of playing injured rather than some Des tactical masterstroke, but when/if that clears up is anyone's guess.

Yeah this is really a kick in the ballz for DCE owners.... It makes it even harder, I think, if he's projected to be out for a shirt time. Even 1 week and he misses 2 of the 3 of the next 9 at a minimum (more if he gets some rest post origin) and 2 of the next 5. I think if I held him, I'd be shifting him.
