May as well hold him now to save the trade? Likely to miss 3 more rounds

Same here. Gonna keep him anyway. I just didn't think selling him gave me enough funds and had other players to drop that were losing cash. I'm expecting him back for round 10. Managed to get Ponga and RTS in with CNK there so should be okay. Too bad I sold Sivo over Rava early on lol

    Kikau hasn't merited a trade-in for me yet. Two scores over 50 (50, 75)

    The 50 included a try and 6 TB's

    The 75 included a try and 10 TB's with 2 linebreaks.

Kikau is that type of player that can rack up 5+ TB's and a LB pretty much every game but he has gone 39, 50, 25 and 75 and looked a little underwhelming. Mind you, he is pretty cheap but he is also at around the same price in which he peaked last year for an average of 45 (don't see him bettering this as he does have that low floor.)

Also the way his knee is strapped I look at him every time he runs and cringe because I just feel like his ACL is going to go any time.

Yeah fuck those tackle breaks. Not like he's a beast and they're base stats.

Not sure if sarcastic or not? I did say that he is the type of player to rack up 5+ tackle busts a game. I guess what I am trying to say is I can't see much point paying 635K for someone who will average 45 for the season.

Surely Dragons will choose a better utility than Ravalawa this time so might hold him if he is not loosing cash.

Yeah it's a piss take. Took a couple of extra days of work and it's either this or being a responsible adult. You should see the shit I'm, spewing in the mod thread. But I do think he'll get closer to 55 than 45

But in saying that, a straight swap for Garner and he plays 12 isn't a bad thing. But sideways ???

Everyone who is bringing in Waddell to break him, are you planning on playing him in your 17? If not, is it worth chewing up $400k outside of your scoring players? Would you also bring in Burns when he's named again?

As an owner, I still don't expect him to be scoring 40+ every week as he won't get the minutes.
He's a great young footballer and is improving but I think a lot of you are chasing points you won't see or wanting some quick cash generation at the expense of too many points off your score.

I don't want anyone averaging under 40 in my 17 if I can avoid it.

Don't get the Waddell love. I've got enough mid rangers stinking up my bench without adding more who can earn $29K.

Plays RD 12 and only need to average 30-35 minimum to make 130k+

If Waddells minutes sit within the 40-50 range he averages 40 which should crank out 150k over the next 3 weeks. Anything on top is a bonus.

    Taupau is what he is.

Could see Waddell getting big minutes at lock in round 12 with Jurbo out.

He’ll be in my emergencies and will be good for R12. Looking at him, he gets a starting spot sooner rather than later. One of Sironen or Thompson will break soon. They always do.

    Thoughts on my trades?

Garner to Waddell since he'll make good money and likely get big mins in round 12 with Jurbo off playing Origin, plus frees up cash for me.

Morgan to Ponga, gets me a season-long keeper. Would have to keep Garrick one more week but against the Dogs I think he'll do okay. Could also do Morgan to Taupau but then I would have to play CHT every week.

My team with those 2 trades: $70K ITB, currently placed 685th overall

    Cook
    Fifita, Lawrie
    Arrow, Murray, Waddell
    Ponga, Munster
    Nikora, Bateman
    CNK, Teddy, Wighton

    Mahoney, Rein, Haas, CHT

    Xerri, Okunbor, Garrick, DBrown

This is also in my reasoning to pick him up. Siro and Thompson are terrible with injuries/HIA's and one will be out sooner than later.
