Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 40
I nearly listed CNK. He'll be one of the last to go if I have trades left. Probably a keeper then

He might get a spot as cover in my team, but will likely be one of the last to goVerbal Kint wrote:I nearly listed CNK. He'll be one of the last to go if I have trades left. Probably a keeper then

Current keepers..
Cook
Fifita
Taupau
Arrow
Murray
Nikora
Bateman
Tedesco
Ponga
CNK (I don't see me getting T. Trbojevic and RTS. But will likely grab one and shift Ponga to HLFs)
Haas, Mahoney, Garner, Burr are potential as well.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 40
Speaking of keepers, here is the best 17 on averages
Guys in brackets are next best player for those currently injured)
Smith
Fifita Haas
Murray Taukeiaho JTrbo
DCE (ARey) Munster
Bateman Nikora
TTrbo (Ponga) RTS Tedesco
Cook
McInnes
Friend (Klemmer)
Farah
If you are trading someone in, and they aren't one of those 17 players then one of the following should be true
a) You have a plan to trade them out again (presumably after they have made you a bunch of cash)
b) You think the player you trade in will outscore the players named above over the rest of the season. There are a few players with slow starts to the year who can reasonably be expected to improve on their average, and a few of the guys above may struggle to maintain their high output
c) You can't afford players from the above 17 so are going for a next tier player because they are cheap. Ideally you'd just get the good player, but funds don't always allow this

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 40
One of the most annoying things looking at top averages is seeing Jake Friend there, despite him playing only 33 minutes in 1/3rd of his games.
As someone who started with him in round 1, I can only dream of what might have been had he managed to stay injury free

Nice post Milchy.
I don't know why but those trade 'rules' reminded me of the Robocop prime directives. The 4th classified one would be 18/19th man plus killing a spot for loo#ing

Good post. Taukeiaho is the one I'm looking at brining in this week.Milchy wrote:

I'm not quite done yet, another 5 weeks to the end of my last exam. I study finance, maybe that's why i like fantasy, i'm always trying to buy low and sell high!
Same principles as investing but I find it a lot more easier to get things right in Fantasy haha

I’ve been considering Kikau, and already have Moses. Should they both misfire in the same week.....decisions, decisions.

BREAKING: Manly skipper Daly Cherry-Evans out for between four to six weeks with syndesmosis. Details shortly at (link: http://dailytelegraph.com.au) dailytelegraph.com.au
aaaand he's out of my team
I’m scrolling through twelve or so pages of comments, but I’d imagine DCE owners would be downgrading to ARey, as well as Morgan owners upgrading to Arey?

Fortitude wrote:Spent the morning sitting around pondering a strategy to move forward. First time ive don't his any detail, so would appreciate any thoughts people may have. The general approach is:
1: Identify keepers
1a: pat yourself on the back for choosing such awesome keepers
2: From remaining players, identify who plays rd 12.
3: Work out targets for rd 12 (must be either keepers or rd12 cows you'll milk prior to rd16)
4: Make targets using non r12 players that are not keepers
Current team: (Keepers bolded)
Cook
Fifita, Vaughan
Murray, Arrow, Garner
Morgan, Carty
Bateman, Nikora
Ponga, RTS, CNK
Mahoney, Rein, Haas, Lawrie
CHT, Sivo, Xerri, Mikaeli
Will hold Rein, Carty, Sivo until after first bye.
Between now and rd 12. Ill use Garner, Lawrie, Morgan, CHT/Xerri/Vaughan (if I'm short of funds, which I probs will be) to bring in Arey (rd8/9), Tolo (rd 10) and Taupau (rd9) and a 212k player or two (ideally ones who will play rd 12)
This seem logical?
Sounds like a plan, Stan.

Lol. Good going mate. All I wanted to do at Uni was root every woman that had two legs. Even that wasn’t really required. If they had three, I’d have rooted them.

Not much news in the NRL world today after all the rumours and what not floating around in the last 24-48 hours. Hoping this week to see a few cows pop up so every man and his dog isn't going for the same one.

Rumours will definitely pick up over the next month as we approach June 30 cut off. Today's one from foxsports is tigers have identified Koroisau as Farah's replacement and will ask Manly for permission to speak with him.StormTrooper96 wrote:Not much news in the NRL world today after all the rumours and what not floating around in the last 24-48 hours.
