Mate I'm as confused as anyone. Yesterday the group decided that we'd all set our avatars to pics of Travis Waddell. I've done it. Everyone else seems to have put up this Manly bloke. Looks nothing like Trav.

Looking to bring in either Kikau or Arrow for Garner but can't decide whether to take the punt on Kikau at a cheaper price and hope he works his way to keeper range, or just splash a bit more cash now for a gun like Arrow and take less cash into next week - any recommendations?

Wait for TLT, I am not convinced Mad Max is a cash cow.

If you are in top 1000 then Arrow, otherwise Kikau for me.

Broncos website - KODI Nikorima will not play for the Broncos against the Rabbitohs this Thursday night and a teenager will make his debut.

Tom Dearden is set make his debut as Nikorima is ruled out of Thursday's clash with a calf injury.

It also meant to give him time to decide his future.

I think with the lack of base price cows that stand out massively, I'm probably going to jump on the Waddell train with my pre TLT trades looking like Lawrie + Garner to Waddell + Cleary. With these two trades I should hopefully be able to afford Garrick + Morgan to 212/Lomax + Taupau next week.

Lawrie might average slightly more than Waddell but for 145k less to fund other keepers and add a R12 number I think it's worth it

Sounds like he's 100% gone, Siebold said as much.

Keep Garrick because when DCE went off he was gk plus he plays round 12. I would keep Salmon because as least he plays 80 minutes & round 12 whereas Mikaele & Flegler don't. So it comes down to Flegler or Mikaele to sell which is a hard call because both play similar minutes. I would probably sell Mikaele based on their respective averages. The only concern I have with Flegler is if the Broncos are at full strength does he keep his bench spot. Mikaele also has competition for a bench spot but not as much as Flegler does. Tough call.

We were at full strength last week, and he got 44 minutes, though I think he may of got a few more than he normally would because we had the game wrapped up.

The whole 'Warriors poaching Niko' is a scam I think played in collaboration by both the clubs.

Broncos wanted to get rid of Niko and must have put feelers out to Warriors as they had shown interest in pre-season.

This narrative sounds better for Broncos than 'sacking Niko' and of course for Niko's self confidence too.

The interesting thing with Dearden is that he hasn't been playing as the dominant half in Q CUP (which is understandable because he is 18 years old). But now he gets thrown into the NRL against the Rabbitohs with a hell of a lot of expectation.

So your saying it's a huge leap of faith to use him as a cash out?

I am sure MattNZ is going through that right as we speak, while I am going to interview his neighbours and go through his rubbish to get some more clues.

I'm going to 'wait and see'.

He might do a CHT though. He is not afraid to take on the line, but I think Milford will dominate general play/kicking.

With the way price rises work it almost never makes sense to take the jump on a rookie without first having a look. If they bomb out you have burnt two trades. No one will be putting him in the 17 so if he excels you miss out on 15-20k
