Garner's scored a try in every odd round if that's relevant to anyone's beliefs. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I'm considering something similar with Capewell/Garner.
Or I could spend all my cash and upgrade Whitbread to anyone under 750k

I was rubbing my crystal ball and it came up that he was good for one right between the sticks against the rooters.

I figured there's always one in a crowd.
(one would have to assume that he runs over Teddy in the process?)

Carty or Lawrie would sit out this week if I bring in taupauWT Winfield wrote:
My head's in SC land, but I kinda like the Garner to Taupau trade for NRLF.
I'm giving Garner another week, but has a slightly lower BE in SC and points are a little easier.
Gets rid of a non-Rd 12 player for a Rd 12 gun.
I guess the decision of whether to do it this week or next depends who you'd be leaving out to bring Taupau in?

The other option is to hold Garner and wait for Taumalolo's price to drop. You'd need to be confident that Garner will get good mins off the bench.
Looks like Taupau wont play big mins like last year.

Taupau definitely a points upgrade over those two, in theory anyway.
I'd be hoping Lawrie keeps the starting spot over Host unlike last week, but playing last is a bitch. Haven't been a fan of Carty the last few years.
Garner's injuries and now benching just look like a good time to get off, in addition to not playing Rd 12.

Lawrie better ppm last game than previous 5 starting lock. 41pts vs 43 36 39 54 45

Yeah Taumalolo's on my list too, but will come in for another peaked cow next week or two or three, whenever he plays and drops.
Taupau started last season slow, averaging just under 47 mins from the first 7 rounds before jumping to the 55 range with a couple of 60+ (probably due to injuries).
Hoping for the same this year, but if not, he's still looking like a keeper.

Don't currently have Taupau (budget is 748k, and for some reason I thought that was his price and was going to bring him in) but surely Manly are going to need their forward pack to stand up in the coming games
Their backline is shocking: Elliot, Miski, Parker, Suli, Garrick, Croker, Elgey

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 41
Just scrolled through todays conversation and am going to roll out these two cents
Waddell is expensive for a cow with uncertain minutes and there is a bit of a whiff of Whitbread about him no matter how good he looked last week. If you were on him already then you have done well but picking him up now is a definite punt (he does play big mins rd 12 though you'd expect)
Warriors halves experiment demonstrated the dice roll that rookie halves represent (Dearden). Flanagan is more pricey but will be there for a definite period and will probably score 35-40 each week.
No one needs any more rookie centres without WFB dual position status who are gong to score 20-30 points per week (For this reason I am gong to pick up Lomax for Sele/Host purely as WFB cover and hope he eeks out some slow $$$ as well)
Lots of people with ants in their pants about moving on Garner, Morgan and Capewell. They are not urgent sells so if you can't get the ideal gun maybe hold fire for a week or two. In saying that I offloaded Garner last week for Smith and am happy with the transaction.
Current plans for me are to look at RTS post injury this week and maybe move Morgan or Capewell on in the next few weeks for him then move Ponga to half (instead of Morgan). Also really wish Taupau's mins were more consistent as would love to get him pre rd 12.
Best laid plans and all that.

I'm leaning more towards banking the trade. Don't see Garner as an urgent sell atm. Every chance Garner could actually start too.Honey Badger wrote:
