Thanks Trajan, I'm not taking any offense and will take it on board.  I don't think theres any chance I finish above you either, I've never been THAT good a player and I'm not sure why.  This year is no exception. I guess I'm an indecisive person in life and that would transfer to fantasy.  My gut just seems to be wrong too so sometimes you just feel lost on which way to go.  I'm certainly not alone though with the options people throw around.

My gut was to get Mahoney back in.  I think he can be a season long keeper.  Whether us Macca traders were somewhat nieve to think he wouldn't bounce back, I don't know but considering quite a few people jumped off of I take comfort in that or it's all of us judt influenceing each other.

Well done on keeping Bird.  I kept Garner mate and don't know why.  I do rate him and will give him one more chance.

I’m in the same boat wolfie, I come up with A few ideas and through them out to see what reaction there is to validate my thought. I actually appreciate people like you who have a heap of ideas even if some suck, it gives me ideas on how to approach my time rather than just follow the crowd or just ask the crowd!

Surgess on 40? The way commentators were talking about him I thought he would have got a 55+ with his try. Looking at the stats Tatola and Turgess did lots better this game but were hardly mentioned.

I was thinking of trading in Tatola but thought nah he's only going to get 40 minutes & score 35-40 & I'll probably have to use a trade later on to upgrade him he comes out last night & scores 50.

Surgess was doing the hard yards and making metres after contact without breaking tackles, and hitting big and forcing errors, none of which are reflected in fantasy stats. In real life he was the game's top forward. He also got done for a knock-on that was clearly blown as a Cook forward pass, not that I'm bitter Surgess owner or anything.

@ Wolfy. Back when I first joined the sportal forum I was just like you rolling out 10-15 trade options every day & I'm sure it probably annoyed people haha. I enjoy your posts because you widen my horizons re players I haven't considered & I like that. This is a league forum where you should be able to ask any question no matter what.

Thanks lads.  I know I'm guilty of bringing up that I should get on a player in every game that's killing it and normally I think the flavours of the week throws me off path and causes the  indecision, but I don't think I'm alone in that respect.

To be honest I just love watching the footy and having my players do well and bantering on here with you lads.  That means more than rankings.  This is my fourth real serious year and I have never really worried about rankings.  The last three years I was all about beating everyone in my work league which I dominated from start to finish.  My ranking wasn't that big a deal because I was winning what mattered most.  This year a few guys moved on so we are not doing a work league so rankings for the first time really come to the forefront.  It's kind of like starting afresh in a way.

So the Fantasy site still has Cook at 69. Is this just Sanjay and Sukhdeep playing silly buggers again?

Nah the updates are based off the nrl stats in the match centre on nrl.com (nrl.com --> click on game --> player stats --> scroll across to fantasy points)

Updates usually get reflected sometime during the weekend or post lockout I believe

I wish Flegler would get more minute. Great player in real life and has been hitting his BE every week for a slow gain.
