Guess they may have to use the suburban grounds for all those captains runs this round. Any idea if the clubs are all staying in the CBD ?

do people think arey is a chance of origin? With panthers going so poorly, it will be hard to pick Cleary and Maloney.
Need to bring in a half for Morgan. Tempted by Wighton as less risk he gets picked. But he clearly not as good an option as arey or Cleary

Brimson is a good shout if he can get the wfb role. Priced at 600k at start of the season. Bit of an awkward price though.Rippin and Tearin wrote:Any news on Gordon?
Brimson is cheap as chips and IMO needs to be starting in that team somewhere. Gold if he's starting fullback. 4 starts at FB last year for a 50 average, currently priced at <30.
The other guy worth keeping tabs on is Luai. When starting half last year he average 73 2 games though a 48 and a 98. Priced well enough to consider though I reckon if there are injuries as you'd expect he plays 12.
JFH stocks look like they rose again. His scores warrant serous consideration IMO. Averaging 52 or so but still priced about 5 below that. You could do worse trying to boost round 12 stocks.
Also I still find Elgey strangely appealing. Kids priced at 20 and as we saw this week can hit 50 on a good day. Could be in line for more KM if they put either Sironen or Koroisau in the halves. Pretty decent round 12 playing cashout
Anyone else on peoples radar?
Hudson young another potential cash out option
Also looking at any and all injury/dropped player rrplacement players coming in.
With all the carnage it might be the week to sit back and see how it all plays out. Hopefully gordon is gone and shitbread comes back in

The journos and general media talk is that Cleary is likely safe. Maloney is next to no chance of retaining his spot and is going to lose it to Keary or Walker.

They always overlook Arey. I can see the selectors picking Keary, Cleary and maybe Walker ahead of him on form. Id rather go with a cheapie half than a middie personally.Fortitude wrote:do people think arey is a chance of origin? With panthers going so poorly, it will be hard to pick Cleary and Maloney.

Deardon a chance to pick up the goal kicking duties with isaako dropped. Saw him nail a goal from halfway in QCup

Unless all our players fall off a cliff like QLD it's very unlikely. Seems like Cleary, Keary, Maloney, Walker and even to an extent Moses in front of AREY.

That's a really good point.
Last times they've have all the clubs in one place the for the weekend (Auckland 9s) they hired extra security to follow the players around when they went out on the piss.
Given the off-season the NRL has had, surely they've got some extra measures in place like this for the weekend. Be stupid not to.

Hade to go out with friends today so just trying to catch up now. Man, there will be so many options for trades this week, carnage.
Looks like Hunt will be our 9, unless Kev wants to backflip and give Mahoney a crack.

Storm usually train at Suziki Park (easts tigers) when theyre up here (as theyre one of their feeder clubs). Be interesting to see where everyone else has a run.
They really shoukd all be open/public sessions

I want it to be boring. If I am getting rid of CHT and Bateman I don't want any more spanners in the works.
This is a great week for a number of new options to appear to get teams looking less alike.

I'm looking forward to some cashies that play round 12. I've got a few players to offload next week. Aiming to build my round 12 team onwards and save some trades as well

Shame Martin from Panthers is going to miss this round due to suspension. Would've been a nice R12 cheapieChewie wrote:I'm looking forward to some cashies that play round 12. I've got a few players to offload next week. Aiming to build my round 12 team onwards and save some trades as well
