Soooo.... Kazakhstan is the world's largest uranium producer, but the Russkies buy from New Yorkers? Nah. Don't read the bullsh1t mate - "if it isn't on a major newspaper is isn't true" is a pretty good rule of thumb.
Think about League - we don't trust some rando's twitter feed for injury/form updates, but rely on the major sites. Avoid the conspiracies, they aren't healthy or worthwhile.
It is a fact that when Hillary was Secretary of State, the US sold Russia a huge chunk of of it’s Uranium stocks, but I don’t give a fuck.

Pretty sure there was a Broncos fan that was a journalist who lived in Bathurst. Actually thought it was OSM but he alerted me to it not being him on here a couple of years ago.filthridden wrote:L-Jimmy wrote:
Eh, I've both been a journo and completed a phd, and to my mind they're more similar than otherwise. Not because they contain the absolute truth (they don't), but because they both occur in the presence of strong filters to remove very bad/silly/unproveable ideas (editors and reviewers).
Those filters are what make the SMH/NYT relatively reliable, just like with Cell/QJE/PNAS. Sure, absolute reliability doesn't exist, but that's the nature of reality. Good enough filters are good enough.
Were you on Sportal back in the day under a different name?
I recall at least one journo who would turn up every now and then with great information and then there was another aspiring sports journo Bronco fan who was a bit of a dork to be honest. I can't remember the name of the first guy and you're definitely not the latter! Good to have some people around who know the role a bit.

@Pain @JohnnyBgoode Cheers for the team feedback. Still undecided on the ARey vs Farah/Smith option but got food for thought

There was Gramsy who lived in Brisbane and was the aspiring sports journey.
The other guy I think lived in Townsville? He covered QLD a lot and he was the guy who tried to give JT some maccas when he was coming out of the cell.
He had the best info we ever had on this site. I want to say his name was sooty or scooty or something like that. SNOWY!!!!

Get warned for name calling and carry on with it in your very next post. It seems like you're upset that Rabs is beating you but you shouldn't be, the old git is actually pretty good at this.mattnz wrote:

Enough with the antagonistic posts, Rabs. You've been doing well lately, let's keep that going.

Off topic but did anyone else see the Falcons flogged the Magpies 72 - 4 on the weekend? This is a Magpies side with Pat Mago, Sua, Fensom, Tagatease, Mitch Frei and Brendon Gibb in the pack (and Manaia Cherrington at hooker).

Troll is factual, not name calling.
"Trolling – (verb), as it relates to internet, is the deliberate act, (by a Troll – noun or adjective), of making random unsolicited and/or controversial comments on various internet forums with the intent to provoke an emotional knee jerk reaction from unsuspecting readers to engage in a fight or argument "
