Looking at that side you only need 3 to 4 more upgrades in lawrie  dearden morgan and then rein after rnd 12 and you. If you can do them the next few weeks should finish pretty high up at season end

Yeah I think looking at my team right now I have 10 keepers (11 if you count Mahoney). I don't see Haas or CNK as keepers so will have to upgrade them at some stage too. At the moment those two are doing well and then players like Lawrie and Rein are in the same boat, just gotta pick the right time to make those few upgrades.

With 65+ minutes per week Haas is a front row keeper.

He's still a rookie remember. I'm expecting him to slow down as the season drags on but he should be expensive enough to do a straight swap to a gun during the byes.

Thoughts on whether Wighton will be a keeper? I'm leaning towards no and plan to sell him to a gun half in R13 but he has been killing it for me since I got him

    I don't think so.

RTS, Ponga, Teddy, Turbo the best WFB's
Then there's heaps of halves who could finish above Wighton.

    Fair enough.

At this point my plan is to sell Wighton in R13, potentially to RTS but could also get a half like SJ once he's back and before R16. Basically just have to decide whether WFB or HLF will have more guns (since if I just keep Ponga and Munster in the halves, I can fit in all three of RTS (for Wighton), Teddy and Turbo (for CNK)

Not a keeper for final 17, but could be useful hlf/wfb cover in 18-21 if you can afford not to cash him in or if you run out of trades.

Yeah he seems that kind of player for me. I'm likely to just sell to RTS or a gun half (SJ/Pearce/DCE/Cleary) after round 12 but if I can get one of those 5 guys by other means (I've got Turbo pencilled in for CNK at some point), I'd happily hold Wighton in my 18-21 at the end

At the moment half is definitely the stronger position.

Ended up on 910 this week after the scores were corrected. Pushed me from 4340 overall to 2046. Pretty happy with the bump.

Struggling with this weeks trades tho. Gonna have to wait till the team lists come out before deciding anything.

I think you’re actually OK mate. Nothing glaringly obvious or too concerning.

If in your seat maybe I’d consider a Bateman move to start Xerri with 3 good fixtures, and get yourself a gun half with the cash so Carty is interchange at best

847 this week saw me win my H2Hs, and leap skywards to ~5k.

Anybody else tempted by Fainu? Scoring well for 580k, high ceiling, uncertain JS

I can do Bateman/Farah then CHT to either Cleary or Pearce. Any thoughts on the better option out of those two?

How important is cover. Basically I can buy anyone from 818k down for Morgan by doing CHT to Dearden (and keeping hold of Bateman for at least 1 week to get prognosis)

I'm looking at Lolo or Farah. Farah is getting more points but I have no 2RF cover in my 14-21 and would also then have 4 hookers (the Booze strategy - Cook, Mahoney, Rein, Farah with Cook and Mahoney from the start) and also Lolo plays R12.

    Team after preliminary trades (65k)
    Cook
    Fifita Tolman
    Arrow Murray Lawrie
    Reynolds Cartwright
    Garrick Nikora
    Tedesco Ponga CNK

    Mahoney Rein Farah Haas
    Dearden Xerri Lomax Bateman

Just play nikora in 2rf if a injury occurs and play xerri late withdrawal will screw you tho

I missed most of the weekend. Can someone let me know what happened with Garner? For some reason (perhaps and update I read) I thought he was going to start because Matterson moved into half - he didnt I guess? Who did? Will he start next week you think? The kid has an incredible PPM for a 2RF

Elijah Taylor started over him with updated team - unsure if it's going to continue. Considering they got smashed there could be a chance of starting team changing and Garner reverting back to starting 2RF
