Nah they had the option to do immediate surgery or postpone it until the end of the season and they're waiting until the end of the season to do surgery on his shoulder. According to the nrl casualty ward he's due back R14

Wouldn’t be surprised to see him have surgery if they lose a few more games and their season is done.

Dragons news:
Mary will know by today whether or not Sims is good to go, if not this week definitely next week. JDB also trained with the squad this week as a decision on his rape case will be handed down this week. Widdop practised goal kicking while the rest of the team did ball skills yesterday.

Just had another look and I can keep Fifita if I go:

Gillett/Morgan > Young
Brown > Martin

Gillett/Morgan > Taumalolo
Lawrie > Taupau

Problem with moving Morgan is ill be playing Carty for a while with ARey

I need another gun half but am thinking with the blues halves so up in the air I'm inclined to wait. I might even hold out until DCE comes back because I can always move Ponga up to half and bring in another WFB gun (RTS maybe) or Papy/Brimson if the lock down a starting role.

I think I'm liking the following trades:
Burr > Martin
Ravalawa > CS9

Leaves me 164k ITB.

I think I'll just go Garner to Young. Young was solid and even though Tapine might come back soon, he's played from the bench before, I reckon he comes in the middle rotation with limited minutes to get him back to 100%. I also feel that Bateman coming straight into the forwards is not concrete. Not sold that he doesn't fill centre for the rest of the year. Plus with Papa out round 12 he has a few good weeks.

Not sold on my second trade and would like to bank one but that means running Lomax which may be disaster. At the moment it gives me this team;

19 trades left with 587K. Get to look at Deardens score then Carty and then play Xerri if both flop which is an advantage. Not really happy with my squad at all. If Murray and Reynolds get picked for origin leaves me with 8 players if Burns is back for round 12 I guess which is average but a lot will be in the same boat. Tolo really the only other target worth getting.

Could just get Teddy or RTS also I guess and burn my cash, but I'd like to try and double gun next week I think. Tolo can wait even if he goes big. Was looking at Cotric for a smokey or maybe go Wighton but not sure. Might back Lomax one more week against the Knights and hope Mary keeps Aitken on the bench. Annoying thing is if Lomax for some reason moves to the bench pre game, there's no one worth while trading him too. Will Smith worth a punt maybe.

I'm giving Morgan one more week too. He showed glimpses of what he can do but then Souths just put a stop to that and they fell to shit.

I can't really separate H. Young v L. Martin except for 1 thing......H. Young will play 80 minutes whereas L. Martin will play around 60 minutes. Both will play round 12 imo & both will generate cash so no worries there but I think Young will make a bit more cash.

I don't know much about Martin, any chance JFH actually plays lock and Martin plays on the edge?

Regardless, I agree, we know Young plays 80, we cant say the same for Martin!

Well after being a JFH owner from last week he will play the bulk of the game at lock even if he starts in the 2fr. Last week Ellis started at lock, went off after 20 minutes, JFH then rotated to lock from 2fr & played out the remaining 60 minutes at lock.
I've seen bits of Martin playing & he really rips in with a high work rate so he is very busy. I haven't seen H. Young play that much but he seems solid with a low error rate but maybe that was because he knew he'd be playing 80 minutes so he paced himself to a certain extent.

Re Martin also there is the Ivan Cleary factor. I've heard stories on West forums about his unpredictability when it comes to players minutes e.g. a player gets good minutes 1 week & stuff all the next week or starting 1 player 1 week who goes ok then dropping him the next week e.g. Aekins. Or not even giving any minutes or low minutes to 1 of his bench players.
