Having said that it's the club who decides if a player will play & it depends e.g if you're sitting top 4 then you're more likely to rest players but if you're languishing near the bottom of the table then a win is more important than resting a player.
I guess they can always play reduced minutes

I think Murray and Ponga will definitely back up. Both young, Murray will play small mins off the bench so he'll be pumped to get back to souths. Knights cant risk resting Ponga.

Cook and Klemmer will have tougher origins, and I guess at greater risk of being rested, but I'd reckon theyll both back up too unless they have niggles.

I think last year it was after game 3 that alot of players were rested?

What has Bennett usually done with his Origin players? I have a feeling he might sit a couple but let the young fellas play.

I think this is the more important point. Its fine that players may want to play (although each individual will be different and we dont actually know what any of the aforementioned players would want to do) but these days there are other influences that dominate the decision making process in pro contact sport. Teddy was an example last year, pretty sure he was ruled out before origin had even been played, or at least there was a very strong indication he was gonna get a rest.

Id be wary about Cook and Murray in particular! Their team is travelling very well and they could afford to be rested.

Evening all, looking for some feedback/advice with this week

    Cook
    Fifi Haas
    Murray Twal Kbromwich
    Arey Kflan
    Garrick Nikora
    Cnk Ponga Rts

    Bench-Fonuablake Farah Young Burns(loop)
    Emg-Roache Dearden Flegler CAllan
    $382k left.

Thinking of trading Twal for Lolo and Cnk for Teddy. Not fussed on Bye rounds..
Does this seem like a wise move?

Will eventually upgrade for Bateman 1-2 rds after he returns (hoping for high be and $$ drop)

Can see cook getting a rest. If Reynolds is named to start he'll probably get a rest too. Murray/Walker if on bench will back up is my guess.

Personally I wouldn’t trade out Nikora. To me he’s a keeper in the centres

Anyone looking at Kurt Mann as a potential cash cow - 264k if he maintains starting 6 at Knights

Pretty small sample size at games at 5/8 in 2018 and 2019 but he has 54 last week (try and sin-bin), 62, 36 and 51 last year (all with no tries). Improvement in points looks like a major rise in tackles compared to other positions

Obviously there is Papenhuyzen with a massive negative BE (-35) but he may be benched and then Dearden and Martin (OK and kinda underwhelming without try respectively last week)

Twal for Lolo seems a bit sideways. I think if Roache is on the bench and doesn't seem set for big minutes you could use your cash to turn him to Lolo. CNK for Teddy makes sense long term but I still like CNKs potential. I know you haven't had K. Flanagan long, and he has cash to make. But you could trade him for Tedesco via. Ponga.

I just think Blake, and Roache are better trade out candidates than Twal or CNK. Who both are keepers for mine.

Lost a few posts in today's heinous hacking attack (no doubt a collab between fanhub, butters and KFC) so for the benefit of absolutely no one except me I will summarise
940 this week dropped 200 places mainly due to my foolproof plan to retain and play Capewell over Xerri for reasons of consistency. In his defence it was remarkably consistent with his last shit game. Also waiting a week on the Capewell to LoLo trade was an astute piece of business.
Am really considering ditching Cleary for RTS post round 12 (playing Ponga in the halves)......considering
On an unrelated note I saw both Kearney and Siebold at my local Woollies on the weekend. Kearney looked like he did not have a care in the world ambling along behind his partner while Siebold was solo and looked like he was having an existential crisis over what butter/alternative spread to throw in the basket (I think the meadow lea margarine was telling him it was still in great form despite all evidence to the contrary)
