I may have missed this discussion, but is anyone considering trading Cook out? (and obv back in after Origin?

No Burns this week.
NRL PHYSIO
@nrlphysio
Braidon Burns has been held up in late stages of rehab from a significant hamstring injury. He is running at 85% & hasn’t been able to progress to full sprinting as yet, which he hopes to do in the next fortnight. Smart to play it safe considering nature of hamstring injuries

There's not that many final 17 guns playing R16
A lot of people already have Fifi and Nikora, McInnes and Smith are likely upgrades for Mahoney/Rein & RTS for CNK (although TTurbo could potentially be better, but less affordable)
There's a decent amount of borderline keepers in Twal, Matterson, SST, KBrom, Pearce, Milford, SJ playing but mainly cash cows

I was considering flipping Cook or Tedesco for origin period.
The way both are scoring of late its a really hard thing to do.
They are the two most likely players to be rested that I own, because they play such key positions in origin. The rest of my origin players are bench players (in origin), and shouldn't have an issue backing up.
Bennett is well known for resting players, and he will probably do it again to continue to prove his point about having standalone origin period.
Robinson showed last year he has no problem resting numerous players.

Smith wont come back unless QLD barely lose game one... he wont be able to resist being seen as a hero.

Personally I don't think there is any chance he will come back.
He wrote a bit about it on the playersvoice website this week. It's just not going to happen.

Just tipped over to a 1003 last week. Not as good as the other top dogs, missing Teddy really hurt me. 70 point swing between him and my RTS
Will probably do something like Xerri and Lomax for Walker and Brittain/Havili this week, giving me 11 players. Bring on TLT!

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 part 54
No idea what direction to go in this week. If martin is named surely it will only be on the bench. I would rather trade him to someone who may get 2 games and score 40+ each game then have his 28 off the bench but then I don't want to waste the trade. I guess I could only do the 1.
If you had the choice to pick up one of these players this week. Who would it be?
Bateman
Taupau
Turbo Tom
Assuming they are obviously named.

I am hoping Martin is named really at a loose end as to who to trade in this weekend, been looking at James Tamou as an option as he seems pretty solid.

I think just go with Taupau because he's the only healthy one. Both Bateman & Turbo coming back from injury have a chance of re-injuring themselves like Turbo did earlier in the season. Also Bateman with a b/e of 78 you can wait & see. Turbo with a b/e of 56 is reachable for him but since this is his 2nd injury comeback I think he's more riskier than the other 2.

Yeah Tamou is pretty solid & dependable. I assume you have Tolman because with Napa out his minutes will rise. One player I'm interested in is McLean at 655k. With Scott & McGuire out will then McLean & Taumalolo will both probably see an increase in minutes.

To put your minds at ease, I only have 13 trades left. I'm 4 players away from my final team (Need Fifita, Teddy, Bateman, XYZ). Probably will need to use 6-7 trades to get them in. So looking like I'll have 6 for the run home. Probably have to flick Farah off though so that's down to 5...

This is true but I have been on the "Taupau will only average 52 for the year bus". I know Bateman's BE is pretty high but he is a big scorer! On his scores he could reach it or only lose like 20k

I get where you're coming from & I would probably go for the points as well & a gun's b/e shouldn't really be a factor. I think Taupau now that he's using the offload more will average around 55-56. I looked at Taupau's offloads in the last 5 games & in rounds 7-9 he totalled 5 offloads. In the last 2 rounds he's offloaded 8 times.

You'll do it. You'll come up with a plan to get him back in post-Origin. Injuries are going to strike your team. You'll try to get him back in your team but it just seems like every week you have to deal with a different problem and you'll never get him back.

Thats a nice point about Taupau.

I'm not sure what the issue is. This isn't too bad at all. You'll find a heap of people in the same position for the run home - maybe worse. Solid IMO

Y'all are pretty optimistic about Bateman and Tommy T. I mean the sooner I can lock in two keeper CTR's the better but I wouldn't get my hopes up at 4pm today.
