Would prefer to have Lolo in the maroon no 13, then CS9 to return

I definitely dont expect Bateman or Tommy T to be named this week.

My trade plans revolve around Bateman playing next weej though (and possibly Tommy T, may be 20k short of getting him though)

This is true but I have been on the "Taupau will only average 52 for the year bus". I know Bateman's BE is pretty high but he is a big scorer! On his scores he could reach it or only lose like 20k

Is a 52 average that bad? He'll play an extra game, potentially 2 or 3 over some guns that play origin.

You were weighing up Taupau vs. AFB last week.. AFB's never been a keeper and averaged 41 last year playing 1 less minute per game than now.

This week you're weighing up Taupau vs. Tom Trb, Bateman and NBrown all of which are injured.

I had NBrown the last couple of seasons, including this year and he's not worth the trouble.

Tom's had a few injuries prior to last season and likely to be thrown into origin when he does come back.

Bateman I'm targeting for Rd 13 or 14.

Tolman and JFH you marked as potentially being season keepers.

Tolman's avg is 50.5 and JFH 49.6 (53.6 at LK prior to last week, but not guaranteed to play LK every week), so I dunno why you see Taupau averaging 52 as not being worthwhile.

@ wackos - Eels Nathan Brown has resumed full training with the squad.
Also there's a rumour that Turbo could play ctr when he returns. Probably untrue or is it Razz

I was considering flipping Cook or Tedesco for origin period.

The way both are scoring of late its a really hard thing to do.

They are the two most likely players to be rested that I own, because they play such key positions in origin. The rest of my origin players are bench players (in origin), and shouldn't have an issue backing up.

Bennett is well known for resting players, and he will probably do it again to continue to prove his point about having standalone origin period.

Robinson showed last year he has no problem resting numerous players.

Tossing Teddy? I'm looking to bring him in next week if he backs up.

Possibly. Probably not. Was just trying to work out if I could benefit from it.

If Teddy is rested for one post origin match (Robinson rested him after origin 3 last year) he might only play 3 games out of the next 6.

    Its a gamble, etc..

Both Tedesco and Cook are on my radar to trade out as well. Psychic connection with MTVB

You'll probably want the 3 scores when he does play though. Likely to be burned if trading him imo.

Obviously, if he scores 2 more 80s in those 3 games, then yes, hindsight would say it was a bad plan.

I am leaning more towards holding. If I still have a few trades up my sleeve come round 16 I will get a little more creative with some sideways outs and back ins around the third origin.

Should I just wait until post origin now to bring Ted in then?

Was thinking initially but now with the form under par and a few injuries he may be required to back up. Although they do have Morris that could be handy at the back while Ted is rested.

Plus with Keary gone, it's going to make it harder to rest Teddy. I think it'd be luxury to rest him for 1 game if everyone's fit and Roosters will want to stay in touch with Rabbits and Storm at the top.

Teddy's the type of guy that will murder most other WFBs you'd be playing instead, even in less games.

I think resting after Origin is something that you probably can't refer to each year as there are different scenarios with injury and position on ladder/draw. Also depends on capability of replacement

Roosters have Keary out for 4-6 weeks and Cronk who doesn't look 100% so may need Tedesco to stand up. Also coming 3rd now so have motivation to improve on position

Rabbitohs possibly more likely to rest I guess, but I won't be trading Cook with a 3 game 80 point average

Selling the high level guns like Cook & Tedesco is risky if you run out of trades because from experience no plan ever works out. Also if you think the rate of injuries to this point of the season is high then wait till after the end of the origin period for the run home that's when the injuries really pick up. I have no problem selling lower level guns that are out of form. I'm probably going to sell Munster & Cleary this round. I'm using all 4 trades to get 13 players & it'll leave me with 313k bank to turn Mahoney & Rein into C. Smith & McInnes in round 13.

Lawrie, Lomax, Cleary, Munster out - Havili, Rein, A. Taylor, Tolman in

Will give me - Rein, Mahoney, Havili, Tolman, Whitbread, Taupau, Taumalolo, JFH, Young, A. Reynolds, A. Taylor, D. Walker, CNK

I have 24 trades left so i thought id do something drastic.

    Mann-havili
    Crichton-Brittain
    Cleary-JFH
    Xerri-AFB

    Rein
    Havili
    Afb
    Tapau
    Lolo
    Sutton
    Young
    Garrick
    Brittain
    JFH
    Arey
    Sivo
    Cnk
With 24 left definitely use all 4. And then trade all the way through to 16 I reckon. Very rare position you find yourself in with that amount left.

That will leave with 11 trades & then trading in CS9 & McInnes will leave me with 9 after round 13. Then all I need for my final team is J. Bateman & 2 of DCE, Turbo or RTS. I should finish the origin period with a couple of trades left which is a miracle because I love rage trading haha.

Lots of love for Havili here but it sounds like there is a good chance we are giving Starling a debut.
