I'm incredibly torn on trades this week - realistically Carty, Lomax and Xerri are my only expendable players at the moment and Carty plays R12 (so trade would have to be worthwhile R12 player) and Xerri and Lomax have important money to make

    Team (5k ITB, 17 trades)
    Cook
    Fifita Haas
    JFH Murray Taumalolo
    ARey Munster
    Garrick Nikora
    Tedesco Ponga CNK

    Mahoney Rein Taupau Tolman
    Young Cartwright Xerri Lomax

I think I actually need to look at R16 moreso than R12 as I have 11 for R12 and only 4 for R16 (Xerri, Lomax, Fifi, Nikora), although more guns will come in after R12 (McInnes, Smith, RTS). Thoughts??

I can trade Lomax to McInnes now. Should I do it now so I can trade two more guns in next week?

Trades so far this week are

Lawrie > Taupau - keeper traded in
Martin > Brittain- cashout and RD12 points

Undecided on wether I should do anymore business.

DWalker, Havili I keep bouncing between for Morgan but really unsure now

What's the forum consensus on cashing out to a player like Brittain at this stage

That's fine in theory but there's always a chance that McInnes might pick up an injury in training. This is one of those gut calls.

Havili and Billy would make it 6 for me

Do we think billy gets 3 games? I see him getting 2 most likely and the 80-100 points will be handy but not sure I’m sold. Someone convince me

Am I the only one thinking about rolling some C-shaped dice on Moses?

Most teams with go with Tolo, and this could be a cheeky way to get an edge.

I'm not really sold on either Havilli or Brittian to be honest.

The fact that Brittain is base price and should be useful in a couple of games is enough for me. If he was close to 300k then a definite no

I'm trading Capewell to him so worth the cash gain I guess.

Or I can say no to Taupau this week and do

    Lawrie > Moses
    Martin > Havili

Gives me 12 for the round and 15 trades remaining. Thoughts?

Now people are making me re-think my Lomax to Havili trade. Lomax could be a slow burner up until R16, but all he needs is a 40+ score and he will start making a couple decent jumps. Dogs and manly over the next couple of weeks. I might save the trade, hope Havili hacks it and hope Lomax can bag some big points next week and gain another 100K before R17 when he will be a trade out. I think saving the trade and money is worth it.

Coaches do this more often than it gets publicised.

Siebold (as an example) quite regularly pulls players out of Q Cup on Sundays if the Broncos play the following Thursday/Friday and he wants them for 13 v 13 training.

I'm happy to give up 1 position to a player like Brittain at this stage. I'm close to my final 17 and should have enough cash generation to fund my final upgrades.

If Brittain does well this round it will give Bennett confidence to give Cook a rest if he needs it after the Origin games.

Might reverse the Twal > Havili trade. Too many unknowns at Canberra. Tapine plus Bateman hanging around. I’m also worried that I don’t have enough R16 players at this point. If I keep Twal, I have 6 players for that round. Without that trade, I’m left with 19 trades and this team.

Rein, Mahoney, Brittain, Taupau, Horseburgh, Young, Lolo, JFH, Reyno, Garrick, CNK, Sivo

Surely those 12 are enough to make up some ground? 844th currently. Whatcha reckon punters ?
