These things come out every year. They're just fluff pieces so the public think NRL coaches care about player welfare and stuff. Of course as a coach you’re going to prepare your team as if the origin players are not going to play. If they are happy enough to play they will slot straight back in. Don’t take much from it.

Roberts was only on about 400k at the Broncos.

No other club showed interest, so it sounds like its spot on market value.

Lomax to Havilii worth it? Or should I trade W. Kennedy to Havilii instead of Brittian.

Think I'm going with Havili instead of Brittain. Only way I can get both is by trading another R12 player. Carty and Allan being the candidates.

For context, Latrell is currently on $450k. $400 is not bad for a fringe first grader

But if Latrell signed a contract this year it would be a hell of a lot more than that. 400 grand is low for an Origin player.

One was signed as an under 20's player and the other as a rep centre.....

With Moylan back and SJ to come back, Kennedy's use is probably only as a loop (won't even play 16 I'm guessing without injuries) so I'd definitely remove him first over Lomax who has money to make

What's the 90k or so difference between Kennedy and Lomax equate to in terms of affording a player with a subsequent trade though

I've got you in the mods league mate. Fewer trades the better please. Wink

In all seriousness, depends what you want from the trade. Brittain will potentially score well this round and maybe one more round if Cook has a rest (likely, I think).
Havili will score well (based on last year) and will be around for at least four weeks by the looks of things. He is not basement price like Brittain but will make more cash (I think).

Havili is the better option, I think. Personally I am grabbing them both. Will Kennedy is probably not much use to you. Not sure if Lomax is a trade at this stage though. Hard to tell where he goes from here/how much cash he's got left to make.

I think that is top dollar for Roberts. He has some speed and talent but he does not get involved enough during games and can sometimes just seem uninterested. I wouldn't want my team to sign him let alone pay that much.

Yep, agreed. Bennett is about the only coach who will get him firing, but that doesn't mean Souths should have to pay more for him than any other club might. Roberts would be happy he was able to sign a contract. Broncos offered him to other clubs weeks ago and had no interest.

I hope it works out well for him.

What are you expecting from him? Averaging 45 with a BE of 51. Averaged 40 last year and 41.5 the year before that. Hasn't score well since he was at the Storm in 2016. Doesn't really have a high ceiling so is unlikely to go on a run of good scores and with his current BE isn't going up in price. The only positive I can see is he plays round 12. I reckon you can do better.

Just an example but for similar price, take Moses. If you wanted a short term play, he plays round 12, has a high ceiling so could go on a run of big scores potentially giving you points and a healthy price bump before trading to someone else for round 16 or deciding to keep. Same could be said for Tapine. Havili similar in that plays rd 12 will make cash and possibly put up scores good enough for your 17 if you had to. Just a bunch of ideas fwiw.

Question: Is your avatar indicative of your fantasy season?

I haven't played since 2016 so I wasn't sure on what he was like nowadays. Seems to be hitting some form but I never really considered him.

More-so of how I feel supporting the Eels. I'll be in the top echelon of fantasy players come seasons end.

    Good to go mate.

Like Mo Salah captaining during a blank gameweek, It’s not about how many but how many of the right ones.

Tlolo, Taupau, ARey, Moses, 2 gun hookers...You have all the right ones and the rest are just a bonus
