I have 8 after trades and that brings me down to 14 trades. If Martin makes the bench tonight, I will seriously consider not bringing Brittain in and just keeping Martin. Save a trade.

I think 8-9 will be average.

The question is, what is the average in the top 100? Top 1,000?

I like to look at this for total players across 12 and 16. I'm looking at targeting ~20. This appears to be the max (for my team) without destroying team structure for the run home and/or running out of trades.

I have 10 for R12 with 13 trades remaining. Looking at 10-11 for R16 and 6 trades remaining after Origin 3.

Currently sitting just outside top 1000.

Does Brittain play 80? Wouldn't have thought a debutant would play 80 straight off the bat at hooker? Is there anyone who could relieve him for 20 mins or so?

The kid plays 80 minutes in C-Cup and pretty sure it was previously quoted somewhere he will be playing 80 minutes this weekend. Apparently he is one of those prodigal type players. I guess you could say a future Australian captain.

12 for this round I think will be above average. 16 trades left will be about par, I think.

Rabs seems to think he's certain to play 80.

Looking at their team list, I'm guessing Douehi could slot in at hooker and someone could play in the centres.
Other option is someone like Bayley Sironen could spot in the role at a pinch like McGuire/Alex Glenn can.

Mahoney has been playing 80 straight off the bat so no reason Brittain can't do the same.

Thinking about maybe going DBrown and Whitbread to Havili and Brittain which should mean I have the money to go Rein and Mahoney to McInnes and Bateman next week. Thoughts?

Looking at the current Origin teams and here are the players with teams that play R16.
    Ponga
    Oates
    Chambers
    Munster
    Hunt
    Kaufusi
    Gillett
    Mbye
    Ofa
    Fifita
    Teddy
    Mitchell
    Morris
    Ado Carr
    Klemmer
    Vaughan
    Cordner
    Frizell
    Haas
    Crichton

I'm trying to do my best to predict any cheapies that may come in for some of these players and most of these teams already have some mid range players who will just start or swap positions. Looks like there may be slim picking on the cow basis for R16.

With Graham being injured, there should be a new bench forward for Dragons (or even starter if they opt to use Sims as impact player). Probably Josh Kerr who is pretty cheap

Those with Papenhuyzen, he'll probably start R16. Potentially Carrigan might get game time for Broncos as well

Some people have mentioned there being more round 16 guns than round 12 one. There's really not that many, most play origin. Nikora, Fifita, McInnes, Smith, Milford, Pearce, RTS, Matterson?, Farah?

Always hard to trade a bye player out in a bye round, but they are solid trades this week.
