He got knocked out in the 22nd minute & didn't return but he was on the bench in the 2nd half supporting the boys & he seemed ok so he should be sweet with a week off.

Im not sure its even possible to be able to afford such a player as 18th man anymore. Cash generation really got stunted over the last few rounds with guys like Dearden, Xerri, Lomax, Havilli and probably more all making less money that reasonable projections had them at.
Yeah in the past week my cash generation went from looking fantasy to a dead end with Kenny/Lomax/Xerri hitting the skids.
I'm probably looking for a cut price 17th man. 18th man will probably be Staggs.. haha

Any team I've taken a close look at will now be sacrificing somewhere in there final 17 or 18 by the looks.
Just a word of warning to those thinking of getting an SJ/Fainu/Koroissau type player. My guess is they will be in your 17 for the season, rather than your 18th man - unless of course you are sacrificing guns in your 17.
That said, SJ has probably firmed as a pretty popular buy now for a number of teams (as a result of the cash generation problem highlighted above). I think he's a solid buy now after next round. That said, unless you are wanting to go all in on him, I'd leave a trade in spare. This guy is highly likely to get injured again before the season's out IMO.
Yeah I'm going for SJ out of desperation although I do like him as an option. It's just that at his price, if he goes down I'm not upgrading back up so I'm stuck.

1 trade and 112k in the bank. 11 left for the season
Smith/Havili
Haas/Fifita/Taupau/Twal
Taumalolo/Murray/Matterson/Crichton/Finucane/Martin
Munster/Ponga
Bateman/Nikora/Staggs
Tedesco/RTS/CNK/Lomax
Will likely be doing Martin and Havili to Milford/McInnes and cash out in round 16. Looks like I'll still need to generate a bit of cash and likely won't be able to hold CNK as 18th man like I planned if I want to grab Cook
Hey mate. Considering I pinch all of your info/insights to make decisions on my team, I thought I'd try and give something back. Why are you not in 1st by the way?
Doing some quick number crunching, it looks like you'd need to punt Crichton and/or Finucane in r18 to afford Cook.
Are you also looking at Turbo for the 3rd WFB spot? I really like the look of Ponga in 14-17 to cover half and WFB. Bringing in Milf in r16 and Turbo in r17 as enablers.
Havili, Martin, CNK, Lomax, Crichton + 112k to Milf, Turbo, Cook + 2 cheapies..... is about $100k short. Hmmm, maybe Cook drops to ~$750k (I wish!)
I'm not sure I've helped here, apologies

Queerdon is the next cab off the rank but can be used in the loop in the meantime

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 62
When you're looking to add the finishing touch to your 17th gun, is the position they play worth considering?
Like let's say I go for T Turbo over J Turbo. WFB is a much more inconsistent position but if a HLF goes down I can shift Ponga there, Turbo to WFB and bring up someone from my EMG's that can be any position.
Or do you just go for a consistent forward on the Interchange?
This new format with the open positions and AE's is a new challenge I'm still getting used to.

It's a question I am still considering.
I can go Sivo to TTrbo this week, but it will likely cost me JTrbo in the future. Who will be the better scorer (probably Jtrbo) along with who gives me more flexibility to cover injury (maybe TTrbo gets the nod there)

I'm having a similar dilemma I think you kind of have to compare who you would swap each player for if you didn't pick them
TTurbo alternatives (averaging 62, though small sample): Wighton 47.8, DCE (57.1, though may drop with no GK), Munster (55.1, little bit inconsistent), Milford (54.1) - assuming you can move Ponga between HLF and WFB to accommodate HLF as replacement for TTurbo
Jurbo (55.2 average): Matterson (54.7, you already have him though), Twal (51.7), someone like Friend when/if he returns (58.3)
Given TTurbo's high ceiling I'm leaning towards picking him over Jurbo if I can't afford both and replacing Jurbo with someone like those mentioned - Matterson/Twal/Friend (if Jurbo on bench)

Fuck me!! At this stage I am just hoping I can get a solid 17 scoring 50+. I will be lucky to have a solid 15 with 16,17 being 40+ point scorers and 18 being a boom bust 20-80 point scorer.

Ha ha, I think I can afford some of these players (TTurbo + Brown or someone like that) but that is assuming I use cashouts of 212k which is quite unrealistic and probably screws me over in R17 if Teddy + Ponga are rested (hoping Teddy plays R17 now he has had rest)

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 62
Reckon you guys can fix this? Will be tough.
Smith
Fifita, Haas
Lolo, Murray, Taupau
Milf, Brooks
Nikora, Xerri
Ponga, Teddy, CNK
Farah, SST, Martin, Havili
Sivo, Whitbread, Dearden, Brittain
9 trades and 160k.
Currently been pretty set on boosting Rd16 numbers and I think that's blinded me a bit.
What options do you guys like?

Earliest back up is 4 days for Tigers v Rabbitohs (Cook, Murray)
yeah i'd say cook and murray will get a rest.
Also interested in origin 3. Seems like pretty well all origin players would be rested? Such a quick turn around

What's everyones team value and remaining cap equate to? I'm not planning forward at all but comparing values may give me an indication if I can work towards a decent 17 or lower the bar even more and wish for some miracles. I know it's not a true reflection on a whole though.
Mines 13.55K (28K of that is spare money).

13.63 team value, $285k in the bank..
Can't see how much cash in bank available, but all the top ranked teams have 13.5 - 14m team value
Boozey at $14.04m is the only one in the top 100 over 14m (many others probably over 14m once you cater for cash in hand)
