I think Tevaga is a great trade in if you have enough trades to trade him back out, or stash him at 18th man.

I wont be getting him, because I dont trust Kearney and I dont have the trades. Tohus return would likely push Blair back to the middle as well.

If this was round 8 id be all over him. Right now, I cant take that risk.

How do people have like 13 players this week? Incredible.

The million dollar question is - how many trades is enough?

Personally, I'm not making risking picks with only four trades left. I wouldn't be doing it with six. Would I be doing it with eight? Maybe.

I would've had thirteen had Pearce, SST and Maranta been playing Razz (and I'd traded in Billy Walters!)

I didnt get him with 4 (matterson was priority) but would definitely be getting him with 6. I think the line is 5

That said I think he’s a DPP #18 for run home, to MTBs comment about trading out

I’d have no intention of moving him out. He’s just such a useful utility with big potential if gets the minutes. Would play him in 17 over someone like Nikora tbh if team had the flexibility

I've got 13 but it includes Carrigan, Coates and Walters

But it will leave me with 1 trade after finishing my final 18

The risk is that Kearney moves him back to the bench in favour of Burr/Blair (especially once Tohu is back).
He wasn't averaging keeper levels off the bench but as an 18th man, he wouldn't be terrible cover I suppose.

i got him with 5, but my rationale is that i'm using trades i was going to use in order to bring cook in anyway, because i was 40k short of making enough money to get it done in a clean 'downgrade one to upgrade one' fashion, so my options were:

    a) downgrade 2 to upgrade Mann to Cook, leaving me with 2 trades left and no 18th man

    b) throw a trade at Tevega, who with his high ceiling and low BE should cover 40k in a couple weeks, so if it doesn't work out, i downgrade him to upgrade Mann, leaving me with the exact same end scenario as option A, but if he does kick on, then i can potentially have options of moving him or another gun straight up to Cook and getting 3 trades and and an 18th Mann (see what i did there? haha)

Yep fair. Is an element of gamble in the “trade to keep” option. You’re gambling on them playing well and him becoming a key part of the setup. Think it’s a reasonable gamble. Anyways, as everyone has mentioned, it’s all trade dependent. I’m down to 3 trades and kinda want to get him now after all this Laughing don’t have the cash ITb to straight swap for CNK

now that i think about it, knowing my luck there should be an option c),where he gets HIA'd in the opening minutes and then i have to do option A in addition to the worst case of option B, leaving me with 1 trade and no 18th man, but then i'm 9500th so in essence all 3 options are utterly meaningless outside of me trying to pretend i still know what i'm doing.

Right on my line of 5 Smile aggressive play, going for him as a cash cow.

Aggression will win in the end, not “famous late charges” that no else one knew about, so best of luck!

Tevaga is a great player, I would definitely consider getting him if it wasn't for Kearney.

I do remember the wily old @rabbit saying Tevaga would be the starting lock for the 2nd half of the season (this was many threads ago, it's all a bit of a burr to me)

I reckon Jazz will get just under 60 mins tonight

who do we think the top 2 halves are for the run home?
    Big decisions.

Johnson is very tempting but i'm not sure it's a well used trade.
