If you’re unfortunate enough to listen to triple j, you’d know that people get ‘vibes’ from all sorts of things. I’m not holding your opinion against you. Just curious as to the opinion.

I still think Cameron smiths reaction to McKinnon was the poorest human response I’ve seen in sport. Based purely off that, the guy in my eyes will always be a dirt bag.

Would you say that yesterday’s incident is “not his go”?

I thought my team was looking rather good 2-3 weeks ago. Was coming along nicely, had the wheels in motion and now I am seeing everyone else's sides and im like Vomit Where did I go so wrong? Dropped from 326 to 618 in the last couple of weeks. Hoping to crawl my way back inside the top 400 with this mob this week.

Totally agree. He was as cold as ice, only concern was for the game.

I think our reactions in times of emotion/subconscious reveal a lot about our innate character.

How many times do you see a tackle or play go wrong, and the guilty party quickly reacts by showing concern for welfare. Cotric showed none of this, it was a "what of it, want more?" type of reaction.

Smith was just one of complete disregard, call him a competitor, but I just think he doesn't really care about others too much.

There’s a premier league player in last season or two (Rondon v McCarthy) who broke another players leg when going for goal. He was in tears crying hysterically almost immediately. Smith just saw a fellow player screaming he can’t feel his legs. And he argued a penalty. Jerk

I think Cotrics initial reaction can just be that maybe he hadn’t processed what had happened? Also in classic modern RL style he had to brace himself for the half a dozen players coming in to tug his jersey.

With Smith, it definitely seemed more callous. Compounded by his lack of response the next day, or ever really, which escalated to going into a siege mentality mode where in his mind Ch9/60 minutes were victimising him.

Still, that attitude is probably what makes him a champion. See also his freezeout of Cronk for having the audacity to move clubs to support his wife’s career. CS9 is just all footy, all the time

    I agree with this guy.

It also seemed cotric lost balance and fell on the guy. EDIT - on some more re-watches, yeah maybe didn't lose balance. Moment of impact and cotric was not in the right position, firmed up and then just kept going.

So some people think that tackle was worse then georgie boy sticking his fingers into someones eyes?

The Smith one was definitely shocking at the time. Seemed very cold and innapropiate. My respect for him did decrease after that one.

The Cotric one I think yeah, he just didn't know how to react at the time. I wouldn't read too much into that one. He did the tackle, but he wouldn't have seen how it looked from his view.

Just lol if you believe any of the shit 60 minutes put on Smith. He came out and defended his teammate as a captain on the field long before anyone had any idea about the severity of the injury. Fuck channel 9 forever

Channel 9 were wrong in what they did but I remember seeing it on the Monday night and talking with everyone the next day that Smith came across like an ass.

The channel 9 thing was fucking uncalled for though either way.

Im probably overreacting because even just remembering the 60 minutes thing makes me furious. Smith definitely didn't conduct himself well after the fact, probably because he's a smart guy and was shitting himself in fear and panic, but the whole narrative about his intent and disregard for Alex's wellbeing that gets pushed alongside this story is complete bullshit and makes me angry.

CS9 without a doubt the best hooker of all time. But the bloke lacks any emotional IQ. He's just a bot, trained to smile infront of the camera and work the media.... and refs Wink

You could say the same for DCE but I reckon he would've acted a lot better in the same circumstance.
