Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 77
Hey lads, can anyone offer any advice on where I should go from here? Looks like I'm pretty much at the end of the road. Have 3 trades but only 2K. My late Fainu to DCE trade last week altered my plans from here on.
Cook
Fifita Haas
Murray Taupau Tolo
SJ DCE
Bateman Nikora
CNK Teddy RTS
Smith MC9 Ponga Burns
Xerri Lomax Coates Brittain
If I double trade I would probably look at trading Burns which means I can only get someone around 690K. Trading CNK would give me more, but really he can stay. Do I double trade and only be left with 1 trade and only 1 reliable 18th man but a good 17? Or I'm leaning towards getting Verrils for Lomax which gives me more options and then can do a final double upgrade next week or the week after. Thinking Arrow if he can stay fit and shows he's back to his best. I know the way I've written my team screws me for forward cover, will sort that out when I figure out what I want to do. Cheers.

I'd double trade honestly. You don't want to be playing CNK and Burns in your 17 at this stage of the season. Maybe trade two of Xerri/Lomax/CNK/Burns for a downgrade and a gun? Even Verrills in and a gun could work if you trade the more expensive players out.

Thanks Milf. Two of Xerri/CNK/Lomax would work but can't really be left with Lomax sitting there, although he is a red dot. Surprised I made it to the top 1000 currently with so many stupid and wasted trades this year.

CNK has the Roosters and Storm the next two weeks so not sure he will go too well against either of them and Burns you just can't trust since he has to find his own ball since no one ever passes it to him.
Verrills is someone you can probably play in your 17 until the end of the season, as Jake Friend isn't supposed to be back until finals. If he keeps getting 80 minutes that is. Verrills and a gun in would definitely improve your team, but you need a decent 18th man for the run home. It's tough.

Was hoping Drinkwater would become that 45 point POD I could leave at FB all year, obviously he has those kinds of games in him but Burns is the safer option for 35+. Doing a 3 way loop this week between Drinkwater, Mann and Surgess.

He won’t have an easy game for Rest of season. Not sure if that helps or hinders his scores

Mahoney to Mitchell a silly trade? Or maybe Mahoney to Verrills?

I'm with Milf - double trade, one of CNK/Burns/Xerri plus Lomax if you can. Otherwise 2 of CNK/Burns/Xerri
One gun plus Verrills. Verrills is probably going to score as much at 17/18th as CNK/Burns/Xerri for rest of season. With being a more consistent scorer and the Roosters playing late, he's a good option for looping.

Thanks mate. Looking at Lomax and CNK to Mitchell and Verills. Gives me an extra backup and Roosters after this week play Warriors, Dragons and Panthers. Mitchell seems a bit sideways but more confident in him as a final 17 gun then the others.

Depends why you’re doing it. Like what’s the goal.

I'd feel safer playing Verrills in my 17 than Latrell

is matterson a potential trade out? currently looping him and fifi as 17/18 and have burns starting so would be to get turbo or dce. would leave me with burns as 18th or a cheap pick up like a pat kaufusi who has a nice avg in cup but JS is questionable

Feel like taking a punt on Surgess, and hope he just plays some footy again like he used to.

Haven’t captained Cook in about 10-11 weeks, this is the week.
I expect Souths to bounce back in a big way and Cookie to go big, just a feeling I have in my gut.
