What are the biggest ranking climbs out there lads? From an absolutely disaster early with some god awful trades, my team has actually started to come good going from ~5000th prior to round 12 to just breaking into the top 400 this round.

Well done mate.
I was at around 10,000th at one point but likely to finish somewhere near the 3500 mark.
Maybe a year off is needed

Awesome guys. I figured this would be the case. When you think you have done something pretty good on this forum there are always a few out there that have done way better!!
MS, yours is pretty impressive mate. I've found it hard to make up much ground lately! I figure once you start getting into the top 500 most teams out there are pretty solid! That said, my rubbish start to the year meant I had to miss out on Cook and a few others who I'd like to have about now! I dont expect I'll climb much higher even if I stay injury free!

I can see why someone would be dirty that point difference isn’t used for ranking. It governs the win/lose for 2pts each week, it may as well be consistent across the system and govern ranking.
I’m dirty I was ranked 5th overall in L1 but ended up 10th in h2h. Too many close losses

Points differential is meaningless in a fantasy competition.
Unless you think there is something about the players you have selected that have improved your "defense" compared to your opponents.
Points scored is by far the better for separating teams.

Yes and no.
If you’re playing specifically for head to head. Choosing players to match your opposition is a defensive strategy.
The problem is, a very high % of people here play overall and h2h is a side laugh.

Morning all!
Agree with some of the earlier chat re PODs. You don't need many, just the right ones, and a bit of luck. Obviously, you just need the 17 best scorers.
Captain choices can make such a huge difference at this time of the year as well. 31 pt difference between Mc9 and Cook... and if you have one other POD who drops a big score, you can make big inroads.
Had such high hopes for Cook(c) yesterday - what happened? I didn't see the game, Storm just too dominant and didn't allow him room to move?

Not really too sure what happened to Cook, he was on I think 30-32 at HT
Storm dominated last 20 mins and there was a load of penalties that slowed down the game
Will probably keep him captain v Dogs but tempted to captain Moses v Titans

Fuck that would take some balls. I am vaguely considering it.
Pretty hard to ignore Cook v Dogs though, despite his recent run of low scores (relative to what we have come to expect)

Brown has a 3 game average of 60Rabbits21 wrote:
Thanks but I’m starting to feel like Moses is must have.
Out of those options Brown is probs best.
If he continues to get 80 minutes I think he will be a 60-65 point scorer
Moses has a 5 game average of 65.4
Moses will only slightly outscore Brown and I personally don't think it's worth an extra trade

There's a few this week though...
Haas vs Penrith at home
Teddy vs the Warriors at home in a day game.
Hard to discount CM9 too after two 80s
Seems like it could be one of those weeks where sticking your nuts on the line could be a consideration if you are trying to make up ground....
