I think a lot of people have the fantasy goggles on for Tolman expecting him to get extra minutes. He makes a lot of tackles with not very many misses but he hasn't won a ruck defensively in about 3 years. In attack the Eels were basically screaming out for his settlers. He had a couple of runs that had decent impact but most of them were plodding up to the line and getting a slow play the ball. I would expect moving forward he gets 2 stints of 20-25 minutes however expect his PPM to regress to how he has historically performed

Were Waddell and Flegler just one off higher scores do you think because of mid-game injury (Sironen) and suspension (Lodge, Haas for Broncos and AFB for Eagles)

Does Haas even get back onto the bench when he returns - on the hand I think that the Broncos bench/pack is performing really good (not so much against Storm but limited possession) and it'd be unfair to drop one player but then they paid Haas a lot of money

Looking at Flegler as a Host replacement (41 points in base stats) but will he keep up 30-40 minutes or revert back to the 10 minutes he got v Storm (10 points total). Might just do Host to Lawrie but that removes nearly all my budget which I'm trying to keep for Crichton

Bulldog's TLT is going to be very interesting to see how much/little Pay wields the axe. If Martin comes in that will likely move Jackson/Martin to lock and move Elliot to prop rotation which might negatively impact Tolman's minutes even more

Yeah this is now a concern. I was expecting a bit more minutes and a slightly higher work rate. He's not an immediate concern for me though so I'm not worried. Hopefully Pay realises that Doggies are only competitive with him and Napa on. Add in Martin and they might have a chance of not collecting the spoon. Martin in, RFM to the bench

Does he have any decent backs in reserve grade that could replace Holland?

I don't know anything about him, but Morgan Harper was getting a bit of "pre season hype" a while back.

They could also bring in Meaney and move Hoppa to centres, though I feel that Hoppa is still their best FB.

My guess is pay makes one "major" change, and a bench shuffle.

Might be worth noting that TPJ subbed out of the game after 57 minutes (he only played 44) and didn't return - I assume because the game was basically over already and they are still treading carefully with his hammies.

Can see Flegler keeping his spot, he has earnt it now, but still finding it hard to see him getting more than 30 minutes. Right now, he is the perfect 25 to 30 minute prop who runs hard and tackles hard in the middle third of the game.

I think Pay just needs to adjust his rotation to spread the load, and not lose the game when Tolman and Napa are both on the interchange. Aside from gifting tries to the opposition

Jnr Paulo could be a mid-tier FRF option. Got 50 mins, took on some extra load with NBrown sidelined.
Maybe this week was an exemption, might see what mins he plays next weekend.

Did you watch the game yesterday? Poor reads, 2 missed tackles, 1 leading to a try, no dummy half running at all. No desire to get in and help the team. Not sure what happened to the guy that ended 2018, but fuck he's poor now.

Im trying to get a read on Waddell. Whats the deal? All I know is he was touted to get the edge role at the Panthers a while back, but got injured.

You guys think he's got himself a reasonable role at Manly now? or is it very much injury dependent at this stage?
