I was thinking of doing the same. I feel like Munster is going massive again this week.Bethany_B wrote:Sunday night is the best time to pick a captain for the following week
In all seriousness, I'm seriously looking at going the risky play and putting the armband on Munster against the Titans. Logic would dictate to go for CS9 instead for his goal kicking but I reckon he'll get an early shower. After getting pantsed by the Raiders, I reckon the Storm boys will absolutely carve up the poor Titans, and I reckon Munster goes 80+ in that. Considering that I could very well only have 16 men playing (or 15 in the worst case scenario), I might just have to swing for the fences and hope that my captaincy pick compensates for losing players.
Other captaincy options of note in my squad are:
CS9 - mentioned previously
McInnes - Super safe and is carrying that Dragons team, will get a lot of tackles against the Chooks
Cook - Loves the fast track at Suncorp, but the Broncos are no slouches either, and I doubt he'll go massive, but will be a safe pick.
Haas - Not 100% on how he'll go vs Souths but considering what he just did to Penrith I'll have to consider it
SJ - Warriors are dead in the water and he might have a point to prove against them.
Moses - The dogs aren't easy by any means but at Bankwest and kicking goals means his floor is pretty good.
Tedesco - Dragons suck and Teddy is just carving up teams, but it could be a crappy game if the weather's bad on Saturday night
Papalii - It would be the POD captain to end all POD captains but could be an absolute genius play if he gets another pie against Manly.

He's actually got to play though and players were rested v Titans last time out. Putting my fantasy bias over my support of Storm is that the positive of the loss is the players might not get rested for the last 3 games as 4 points clear and F/A tightening up with Roosters flogging everyone

No way Bellamy rests players after a loss. Don't care who it is, Bellamy would see it as "not having earnt the right to a week off" or something.
The titans are going to cop the same treatment the Broncos got after the Storm lost to manly
Storm by 50+

Perese watch - he played Q Cup on Saturday after only a few minutes of action for the Broncos. Scored 105 fantasy points (3 tries, 3 LBs, 12 TBs)

Going backwards and backwards and backwards in this arse end of the year. Struggling to stay inside the top 1000, Drinkwater 11, Burns 4, Mann 21, Surgess 30.... Was only saved by Captain Haas to get a score of 941 and sitting at 911 overall rank. Need to pull together some big scores these next 3 weeks to be any chance of staying in the top 1000. 0 Trades really hurts, but hopefully the return of Tolo and Fifi should help. Sweating on Surgess quad strain, Burns GONE so will need to play Drinkwater for the rest of the year Looping with Surgess and Mann this week... WOOT WOOT!!!! Still winning my work league but only just! Can't wait for next year.

Good morning fanatics. I have a question. What is Kayo like for watching NRL? I'd most likely be streaming it from my android phone to tv via chromecast. This works perfectly fine for youtube so I assume it would work well? I'll likely do the free trial but just thought I'd ask about others' experiences. Thanks.

Only signed up to Kayo because Crownbet were offering a free 3 months with a 100% bonus bet on your deposit. Never used it as I have foxtel and watch footy that way and I am a telstra customer so watch NRL on my phone if I can't the TV. I know someone who has it and uses it a lot for things like NBA, NFL, UFC... things that don't show often over year. I will probably keep it once the free three months runs out as it'll be good to watch the NBA on and as you said I can at least chromecast with it.

I cop some shit from the other mods because we all joke that I'm shit at Fantasy but I've had 8 x 1,000s and I'm currently 293 with my lowest rank after a round at 56. It's been a pretty good year!

This marks 8 consecutive weeks that my rank has been no lower than 23 and no higher than 29.
Is there some sort of award for consistency in finding the middling score? Scoring 1000s and getting nowhere is some kind of fantasy torture, Sisyphus ain’t got shit on me.
Excuse me whilst I regress to the mean

Has to be a first where 1000's are all too regular and you aren't making in roads unless you're scoring 1100+

I saw a stat that the ball is "in play" for more minutes in 2019, than previous seasons. May be part of why we're seeing consistently higher scores

I’ve scored 6 1000s in a row, have gone from 280 to 120.
