I don't see why that makes a difference? Some teams are actually open with the injured players at their club, some aren't (Storm). It's not just about fantasy, it's about being open with the fans. I'm sure Cowboys fans would have liked to know their best player had this type of injury earlier than now, since it's been over a week since he was ruled out with a "foot injury"

Bigger implication than fantasy is gambling/betting stings. They’ve made teams stop playing silly buggers with who they name, reporting injuries honestly is next step in transparency.

Yeah I know but I ain't winning this thing. Don't think I'll even get back top 1000 so fuck it.

Munster will be having a mash on Sunday.

Yeah sounds like a good plan to me. If you want to take a punt for the last 3 rounds the Munster this week against the Titans is the right time to do it.

I get the week off my H2H. I'm thinking of leaving the C on Moses. I like having a Thursday night captain.

Really don't see the point in the  cowboys risking Lolo with a condition that can take some time to shake off

    Two trades left...

Thoughts on Fifita + Burns to Papalii and someone under $409k (Widdop/CHT?)

With the news that Tolo is probably going to be back next week I'd rather chuck Fifita who is one knee knock away from being sidelined for the rest of the year. Other option would be JFH instead of Papalii, or going Fifita > Angus, but DPP is nice.

True, but - "Issue is pain tolerance/effectiveness, minimal long term risks"

If there's no real risk of further damage, then there isn't really a reason not to play if the pain is tolerable.

My gut feel is that he doesn't play though. I'll be happy if he's back and firing next week.

Paul Green said Taumalolo trained today. They will see how he pulls up tomorrow.

    Seems reasonably positive.

So Taumalolo will have to play through the pain barrier. Well at this stage of the season there's plenty of players who are doing the same carrying various injuries. Taumalolo will just get an injection & he'll be sweet. Once he's warmed up & medicated he won't even have a sore foot after the adrenaline & the natural endorphins kick in.

They actually asked if he can have an injection for it, and Green said no

They should put Taumalolo on an edge if he's not fully fit. Less defensive physical workload (more mental decision making) and helps fantasy purposes of he's running at Maloney

Win win for Cowboys by having a good player and fantasy players as well. Do it Paul Green I dare you

Yeah after that, my money says he plays.
Flantar fascia injuries aren't fun but if its only pain tolerance, surely he plays.

Go Haas, he will dominate and could get some offloads away, teams offload at will against us.
He should make at least 6 tackle breaks too.

And earlier in the year we were offloading at will against other teams who have learnt and adjusted their games and are now doing the same. We can, and will, offload as we see fit from here on in.

You’ll be eating your words hattrick. I wonder whether you actually are a Souths fan most of the time. In fact I’ve got serious doubts. We’ve already flogged these clowns once. They’ve got no TPJ but they do have the spud called Boyd. Bennett knows exactly how to deal with this mob. They’ve got shit halves, shit backs, shit hooker and one decent prop, who will be easily shut down. No enforcer.....Souths by 20.

You’ve been here less than 4 weeks and made 500 odd posts. That’s pretty impressive, but FFS, you need to get a life hattrick. Forum superstar isn’t all it’s cut out to be. Working hard and making money will be more fruitful in the long run champ Razz

With Surgess and Burns out it leaves me with 17 (if Tolo plays) if he doesn't I am left with 16.

My last 4 trades score a mark of 1/4

    Martin > Burns R17 - for 38, 56, 33, 34, rest, 4 and injured
Xerri > Klemmer R18 - AVG 57 since bringing in
Watson > Arey R18 - AVG 47 since bringing in and now seems to be playing at about 50% fitness
    SST > Surgess R20 - 29, rest, 30, rest/injured

    Woot Woot

Would much rather still have Xerri and Watson over Burns and Klemmer

I'm kind of hoping Tolo doesn't play now haha. Looking more likely though, especially if he trained.

Ironically, plantar fascia ruptures can be caused by corticosteroid injections for other foot injuries - these sometimes also have follow-on effects which can linger for months/years.
Hoping that's not the case for JT13.
