I don't know. You are probably right but I had the same thought WL had. How he handled everything since Brown left including his performanes was disgraceful.

Firstly, 100% reading way too much into it.
Why else would the selectors still pick him if there was anything else to it?
Don't think it's realistic that the selectors would say "we weren't impressed with your childish antics last year....but we are still picking you, just not at fullback"

Secondly, were his antics that bad?
From what I understand, he really only made one crack at a joke when Browny got punted that absolutely went down like a lead balloon, highlighting the fact he is 21 years old.
As for his form, it probably wasn't his usual brilliance but certainly wan't terrible and he definitely wasn't the lone ranger in that team

Grant was either a beat up or well orchestrated cover up. The excuse did sound pretty feasible though.
He was outside not on doorstep facial cuts 50m from home, neighbour called ambulance because they thought he had been assaulted.
