Well he’s priced about 48 so he would need to be scoring at least 55 per week to be worth it imo. He probably won’t be a keeper in the front row (unlike Haas, AFB, Taupau, Arrow, Fifita etc) and won’t generate enough cash compared to somebody like James.

if James could get back to his old self fantasy score wise he would be a good pick to start this season.

I like the look of Liam Knight as starting prop at the bunnies, slightly undervalued if you look at his 2019 games when he started on the field in that position. (Another slightly undervalued mid range option would be Fotuaika at the Titans)

Knights averaged 45 as a starter priced at 36 due to <1% ownership. I think you might be on to something here Chewie

Anyone want to take a stab at George Williams & Valentine Holmes price. Cheers.

Had a crack at a team and managed this with 46k left over. Can probably do a little bit of shuffling around since Brailey will put up starter level scores

    Damien Cook(C)
    Liam Knight, Ryan James
David Fifita, Luke Garner, Ethan Lowe
    Nathan Cleary, Jerome Luai
    Bradman Best, Rookie
    Ryan Papenhuyzen, Zac Lomax, Rookie

I'm considering a starting FRF combo of Haas and one of Knight/Fotuaika.
I'll probably add Ryan James to my bench (RES) as cover for 2RF/FRF

    early musings though

Great team - pretty similar to what I’m thinking at this stage
Hard to decide who to leave out since there’s so many good options

Is it likely Wakeham will start over Cogger?

Not much clearer on WT hooker.

3 players training there: Reynolds, Mbye and Walters.

?? On Reynolds with his court case.

Well James is priced at 33 points and averaged 44 points last year if you exclude the game where he played 12 minutes

    He averaged 52 in 2018
    He averaged 47 in 2017
    He averaged 60 in 2016

I think he’s a great option, even if he averages 44 points he will make very good money with the potential to be a gun - and he probably won’t play origin.
He’s currently in my draft side.

    I like it Cool

Personally I'm leaning towards starting with Friend and using Haas as my Captain.

It's early days but with the lack of quality halves it's tempting to gun up there

What about someone like Watson or Brimson for the halves?

Luai and Flanagan could be a cheap halves pairing if you wanted to spend money elsewhere

Atm I’m thinking of maybe both Fifita’s, possibly garner, friend, Cleary and splitting the captaincy between them for the early stages before I buy Taumalolo, Haas etc.

I don't think either Watson or Brimson are good options

May potentially go cheap with Luai and Flanagan but would like atleast 1 gun

Watson is priced at 44 and averaged 59.7 when starting at hooker last year
I think Lock and Hooker would have a similar work rate for a player like Watson so hopefully he should be able to get around 55 points per week starting at lock.

Brimson is priced at 30 and averaged 42.8 when playing 80 minutes at fullback last year

I think Cleary is the best gun half this year and will most likely average 60+ without having Maloney there.

@mytvbroke are you able to update the footy statistics site so that we can filter last years stats by position and minutes? Thanks!
