I am pretty sure he will improve his scoring. Whether or not its going to be enough to make him worthwhile or not, I am not as confident.
In 2018 he averaged 42 from 3 games as fullback, which is pretty handy. If he can do that again I'd be happy.

Fair enough, I just have a gut feeling he'll be a mid-ranger that I'll be stuck with. Would much prefer to keep some cash in the bank and roll with a basement price player that pops up. If they are a hit roll with them, if they bust then trade to whoever is looking good that you missed on in Rd1.

He is priced at 38 - his 60+ minutes average is 47 and his 80 minute average is 50. Warrants a bench spot, or even a spot in your halves.

    Thoughts?

Personally, I find more upside in Mann at a cheaper price point. If I can pick both, I might. Otherwise it's just Mann

First thing I notice is a lack of Koroisau. You don't rate him or worried about Kenny??

I had Api in and out a couple times but these were some key thoughts

    - 2019 averaged 44.2 minutes and 2.1 missed tackles. Will be tough for him to get back up to or around 80 minutes a game and he doesn't mind a missed tackle
    - In the last 7 years he has played 1 full season (2017), the rest have all been injury affected. He seems to be pretty injury prone.
    - Reason 3 is just I purely missed him on my draft, but is definitely in and around contention

Will love to see his Pre-Season game and how he works into the Panthers game.

I just remember having Mann at the back end of last year and seeing so many spreads out the edge and Mann either just catching and passing or Ponga/Pearce running the whole thing and Mann not seeing any ball. Plus he got found out quite a bit defensively as well.

That's what i was planning. Not bothered at all about Katoa being there. I think he is purely a depth signing and  could barely get a game last season. I know Jmk got injured at the back end of last season and i want to see him in trials. I reckon its an unorthodox and effective edge to have in the first 12 rounds. He will make money and (although 544k) is a better option than most halves due to that exposure in the middle

Exactly. If he seems to have close to an 80 minute role, if not already 80 minutes, he will be a decent option. With no Foran there he could even take on some of the kicking duties. I think he is a bit faster than some give him credit for also. Could be a good halves option if you are going for Gun and Mid Ranger or two Mid Rangers. Will probably get a 45-50 point average mid range half, playing HOK, who will make money and plays R12.

Was thinking about him before positions came out, but with HLF DPP I'm doing my best to lock him in

Katoa is that bad that Panthers used a loophole to name him as a 2RF so they could start Kenny who was in the development squad last year. As said before I reckon he is just depth as they lost Lichaa, and JMK was playing 80 sometimes at the backend last year even if Cogger on the bench as utility

I find it hilariously ironic that after all the stuff about bumping prices for perceived ownership for players with way bigger roles that Grant could move clubs and be a base price starting HOK about a week after they released his price

I'm sure there will be a few more before the season starts. There are bound to be some injuries at the nines and in the trials. And probably a few surprise selections

Here is my hooker heavy draft

    Friend
    Fifita James
    Leilua Su'A Lowe
    Moses Luai
    Burns Lomax
    Papenhuyzen Isaako Brimson

    J Williams
    Koroisau
    Brailey
    JMK

    Grant
    Mann
    Musgrove
    Moga

If I can get a good cheapie CTR and FRF to fill those last 2 spots, might end up running something very similar to this come round 1.

Quick question, but is there anyone at all out there considering not running with Papenschnauzen?

It was inevitable, but I think one of the bummers of 2020 will be watching Storm games and not being able to enjoy the damage he does because every single other team you're going to face all year is going to have him too.

Or he'll have second year syndrome and we'll all suffer together.

Also, anyone else foolish enough to be genuinely considering Holmes? This guy is. No other reason than I'm "feeling it."

He's still suffering from the facial injury he got when he got kneed in the face by Don. I reckon he's going to struggle with the new rules of not being able to tackle attacking players in the air near the tryline
