Eliminator opponent managed to score 1062 when I thought it was an easy win.

I was 12 points behind with 5 seconds to go! Cleary gets me home Though when he missed that tackle on the try line a minute or two earlier I had given up ALL hope.

Scored 1087 and still lost Eliminator because the lucky prick had to play Billy Walters.
It's all Luke Brook's fault for getting dropped.

Up by 25 points in my eliminator pending updates. Luckily Cleary was a POD on my side, although my opponent had JFH who went into beast mode this afternoon...

I feel for you all sweating on eliminator updates. I won mine by nearly 300 points. Luck of the draw.
So even with 3 players scoring under 30 I have 1157 before updates. Helps set up a eliminator chance next week.
Trading in Edwards last week looks like a problem.

Looks like I got away with a pretty comfortable Eliminator win too. Nice. Cleary & Leilua both in there certainly helped.

Re: Sportsdeck VSDT 2020 Part 1
I need ted so Tohu makes way thanks to dpps. Am 40k short so moved Horse to lui (1) but can take any FRF under 440k or can do drinky to any half or wfb under 250k which atm looks like pure cash out or Sammy Mac (2).
Option 1 gives me lui in my 17, option 2 gives me Corey Norman in my 17. Option 1 or option 2 (pending no surprises in TLT)
Squad pre trades
Koro, Grant
Hass, Carrigan, Horse, Rudolf
Lolo, McInnes, Harris, Matterson, Leilua, Fermor
Flanno, Brown, Drink, Luai
Yeo, Lomax, Talau, Capewell
Best, Guth, Norman, Mann, Williame

Re: Sportsdeck VSDT 2020 Part 1
RnT's team. 18 trades left and $571.4k in the bank
Koro, Grant
Hass, Carrigan, JTB, Flegler
Lolo, JTurbo, Katoa, Leilua, Stimson, Hopoate,
Cleary, Luai, Moses, Wakeham
Yeo, Capewell, Wiliame, Hampton
Edwards, RTS, Isaako, Lomax, Kennedy
I figure we should use the $571.4k to upgrade a few injured players, e.g. Capewell and Stimson out gives us $1,265,900 to play with.
So we could afford either:
(a) Tedesco and Arrow in; or
(b) Ponga and any 2RF or FRF forward in (eg JFH).
Pre-TLT, I am leaning towards Ponga and JFH in which would still leave us with $174.8 to upgrade someone next week.

TLT pretty kind tbh. Just have to decide if I do Koro-Cleary or Koro-Cook this week (the other will be next week injuries permitting). I think Cleary's price point makes him the attractive option this round and I can gather the funds for Cookie next week

Talau to Ponga for me this week. Considering banking 1 trade since I need to play Rudolf. Twal will be a welcome addition if he ever comes back

Re: Sportsdeck VSDT 2020 Part 1
Is JFH worth a buy? I'm not keen on jumping on Twal straight away and I still don't know about Tevaga after 1 game back...but I want another 2RF this week with eyes to Twal once he's back up and running. I had my Tevaga trade locked in before I realised JFH could be a much safer bet?

Re: Sportsdeck VSDT 2020 Part 1
If i needed a 2RF (or FRF for that matter), i’d be all over JFH including for his DPP (I brought MoFo and Angus in a couple of weeks ago and am regretting it now).
I don’t know about others but money needed to assemble a final 17 doesnt seem as tight here as over at NRLF...
ps thanks Milchy for the BEs

Yeah I agree with that, I didn't put the DPP into the equation but having JFH in 2RF and Carrigan in FRF does look pretty good.
I agree with the money thing too. It's just so much easier to jump on "good" cows here thanks to being able to see them play for 2 rounds first, instead of having to go all-in straight away like in NRLF. I mean I have money tied up in players like Shiba who will never see the light of day in my starting team but it's a nice downgrade if I need the 130ish-k at some point.

Re: Sportsdeck VSDT 2020 Part 1
Koro - Cook for 1 trade
Cook Grant
Haas Eisnhuth (Musgrove Ale)
McInnes Lolo Jurbo Crichton Carrigan (Fermor)
CLeary Williams Pearce (Clune)
Mann Yeo (Talau Wiliame)
Teddy Ponga Pappy (Lomax Kennedy)
Only $11k in the bank.
Is it worth moving Angus on, or should I just move Wiliame to Aubusson.

Re: Sportsdeck VSDT 2020 Part 1
Definitely feel like I have sufficient cash in this format, although need to figure out how I am going to get Bateman in for the run home.
WFB and CTR already stacked(I'm benching RTS this week) or I would consider grabbing Aubbo
