I’m taking the risk on Croft, but I don’t honestly see the extra value in the Brimson, Croft and Drinkwater trio any more than when compared to Mofo, Merrin, Knight (I’m also cold on knight btw but I guess others are seeing things im not). I think there is just as much value in FRF. I’m already having a hard time picking between Mofo and Merrin, if Carrigan gets named lock and Tauks is kicking goals I have no idea how I will fit 4 players into two positions let alone 1 if I have Haas

Sorry for the repost, I can’t find my original question, but what is with all the love for Friend? Who has the inside knowledge that Verrills won’t be in the 17? How many minutes are people assuming Friend will play?

2 major reasons I'm confident with Friend and won't be shifting

(1) Aubo/Radley/Butcher are versatile and can fill in at HOK meaning Verrills isn't needed for the bench and can have extra forward on the bench
(2) Friend is co-captain and having lost Cronk and have a pretty inexperienced new 5/8 in Flanagan, more experience in the spine is better

Can still see Friend easily getting 70+ mins

Players over 600k = Haas, D. Fifita, Papenhuyzen & Friend (however Friend could be gone from my team as I'm not convinced)

Most of us here expect a fully fit Friend to play big minutes. He's a key player in the team and co-captain.
Verrills will probably have to bide his time.
Aside from that, he's priced at 42 points, which is a good deal for someone who scores around 50-60 points most weeks.
Even if he plays less minutes, 42points is easily attainable (low risk). Re-injury is probably the highest risk factor.

Gees, just tried a team without Haas. What a wasteland FRF is. It looks like going Haas is a must. I’ve gone Haas and Mikaele but the other option is Tapau / Fifita and Knight.

I mean that's certainly doable as long as a cheapie pops up and they usually do. Filling out 18-21 with other cheapies might be difficult though.

Yes relies on that- if I don’t get lucky in the trials and TLT I’ll have to change plan. But I like starting with a bang and then trading wisely not missing the good cows that emerge. Easier to stay higher in the rankings than work your way up from a bad start.
