I like how you hid Taumalolo as pick 2 at 2RF haha. I thought you were a gun short at first glance Wink

Good that you've pushed Luai out of the 17. Tbh, I'm not big on JMK. I think there are a couple of other options offering value/upside there.

No Friend? He is very high on my first picked list. Offers keeper value I think.

So you dont fancy the value in the Rabbits 2RF?

I'm spit balling really. Beers are kicking in. Really, it is close to cookie cutter and I'm big on being close to cookie cutter at the start of the season.

If you can promise me a fully fit Andrew Fifita it's the first option and it's not particularly close. Based on what we know I'm backing option 2

Well if Fifita plays a trial and is named to start on TLT, that might be good enough for me. JMK is also racing the clock for rd 1.

JMK is such an uninspiring option it's hard to own him. A lot more has to go right to jump from 38-48 vs going from 20-30

I exchanged messages just a week or 2 ago with Steve. Knew he wasn't playing fantasy this year due to his health. Didn't realise it was as serious as it was.

His articles were some of the best. And the prospectus he used to put out each year was a massive effort.

It's a kick in the guts to lose him.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on Corey Horsbrough? He looked really good. Any raiders fans with inside info if he will get a bigger role this year?

I don't know, he really just needs that big minute hooker role and the points will look after themselves. Boring (=low ceiling) probably but you probably need a couple of those slow and steady guys in your team. Tolman was good for that in a difficult position last year. If JMK get's the role I want I'd keep him until rd 12 whereas Mann will be a trade and I don't really care for any of the other mid range halves. Except for maybe Brimson. I guess I could go with Isaako and move Brimson up? Hmmm.

My alternative to JMK would be Croft but I’ll see what happens in the trials. JMK should get close to 80mins with the Dogs and average close to 50 though.

I am torn re Friend with how injury prone he is.

I could yet pick Lowe or Su’a, I don’t expect Su’a to pay more than 55-60mins though. I think Lowe will play 80mins but I have some doubts re whether or not he can average low 40’s.

    Sorry what’s cookie cutter?

    Mulvy wrote:Those picking McInnes:

Whilst he is priced at 62 but averaged 65 last season minus injury, are you not concerned that he normally averages in the mid 50's (previous two season averages)?

There's not really any particular stat to account for this, just a couple more tackles each week and a few more tackle busts over the season. Last three season TB counts btw were 27, 45, 50.

    Thoughts?

Anyone heard whispers of Cam King stealing a bench spot at Cronulla?

With a lot of big minute forwards they can afford to carry a utility, and have also liked giving the hooker less than 80 minutes

    8.Fifita
    9.Brailey
    10.Woods
    11.Nikora
    12.Graham
    13.Williams
    14.King
    15.Hamlin-Uele
    16.Magoulias/Rudolph/Sorensen
    17.Bukuya

If they do decide to go this way a 65 minute Brailey is not inspiring priced at 28

Cookie cutter is a general consensus team. Template start point. The forum will land on one (a version anyway) for the Community/!Celebrity team.

I like this as a start point. Give it a bit of personal flavour then make better decisions through the year.

I back this over too many pods, punts early doors. You cant win it early in the season but you can lose it

Yeah I think the nrl.com predicted team lists had him in there. I don't think it will happen with Magoulias able to give Brailey a rest. But if King is on the bench come TLT, Brailey can GTFO and Fifita and Uele become more appealing.

I agree, my teams are always fairly cookie cutter. Come end of year I'll regret some trades, captains choices, starting with the wrong gun or cash cow. But I never think back and say, "gee, I wish I had of started with more PODs"
