Haas being an auto pick for most reminds me of how popular Taupau was last year because of how poor a position FRF is

The second most expensive prop coming off a career year. To paraphrase from another poster here "how can such a damaging runner score less than 4 tries on the year". Taupau proved how easy it was scoring 2 tries from 23 games, trending down in price and finishing the year nearly 200k less than he started, while being in over 32% of teams.

Well tbh mines only 2 inches but 3 sounds better. It's like people who are 5/11 saying they're 6 foot.

That last comment hits a little too close.

Yeah but how many minutes did he play?

Josh Reynolds, Adam Doueihi & Zane Musgrove will all be named for this week's trial vs Penrith.

Reynolds is expected to share the dummy half duties with Billy Walters.

I think Walter will end up their 9. Just probably not at the start of the year

27 which isn't super but scored 46 in 45 mins in FW1 when Taupau was suspended

I've had him in my team for ages but I actually don't think bumping him up to starting FRF is the smartest decision thinking about it, but maybe rotating in and out of 17 could be worthwhile

Could make 100-120k quickly and then slow burn for 2-3 weeks
He’s on my interchange right now.

    I’m now tempted re Taupau.

    Isn’t Gosiewski injured too?

Might be a good idea if you joined our cash league.

I’ll be keen to hear how Musgrove goes.

When you think about it you can have Haas and a middle range half like Croft, JMK or Flanagan.

Or you can have Taupau and Moses which is very tempting having 2 gun halves.

Marty had DPP last year though which was a major plus.

And played rd 12, and with no-one knowing about Haas was seemingly a season keeper, and with their average looking bench, seemed a decent shout. He was a little disappointing, but not a disaster.

Are people really getting Waddell in for 2 weeks?

Do you expect him to score well from the bench when Jtrbo is back - or do you expect him to make a lot of money in 2 weeks and be a decent trade out?

He played 60+ minutes 5 times last year, and scored under 31 (his BE) 3 of those 5.

That, plus his short lived life expectancy (assuming he starts round 1) make him hard for me to pick

People loved to gripe about Taupu's minutes, but he was the 7th highest total point scorer last year.

I don't think people that had him the whole year would really be that upset.

Last year Taupau averaged 48 minutes in games AFB missed, and 50 minutes in gamed AFB played.

Taupau looks like he is just "surviving" once he gets passed 50 minutes. Not that impactful. He just works so hard on every play.

If i was the coach I'd probably leave him at 50 mins.

You need 10 inches to get 1 point.
Less than that and its a big fat 0 I'm afraid
