Mine is Tom Burgess *waits for the laughing to stop*
I know, I know- he has literally years of data telling me how poor a fantasy pick he is. And yet I just can’t help but think he is getting better and better (FYI- the fantasy stats say he is definitely not) and he tried his damn guts out for the poms! Obviously there is no chance in hell I am going to pick Turgess- even if he got the extra minutes in the forward pack the stats show he will still barely increase his fantasy output. And yet there is such a strong gut feeling about him.
The moral? Sometimes you go with your gut, but if you are thinking about a Turgess-esque player, you definitely go with your head (and a veritable bevy of statistical analysis)

I’ve been talking footy. This is old hat, but fuck the jealous turds.

Just let it go for once then, easy mate.
What's your real life and fantasy predictions for Knight this year?
surmo13 wrote:Wait... is there a reason, outside of injury prone-ness, that people are suggesting taking T-Turbo out of teams instead of putting him in? Priced as he is, I’ve been planning my team with him being locked in to my WFB

I think Knight will play the same role he did last year. A 40 minute enforcer, averaging in the mid 40’s. Souths have a few edge forward options and Murray is our big minute man.

Does he eke out extra minutes? over 50 perhaps? with 2 Burgess boys gone?

WGP (wild gut pick) for me this season would be George Williams
awkwardly priced has come in already at a 40+ point range, not highly owned, nothing known about his stats wise in NRL, coming into a team where halves have scored poorly last few years minus Wighton last year)
Everything screams NO and being stuck with a middie, but gut says that kid has all the tools to be an absolute gun at the position this season

Gut picks - I'm probably going to end up with Ryan Hall or Moses Suli because otherwise my team is going to be too template.
My gut also thinks that Jordan McLean will run a 50+ average, but there's no way I can afford a 650k second prop.

Yeah I think C.S is hot for him too. I am all over him in Supercoach but his price just irks me in fantasy. Raiders are the team for an unknown though- plenty of time attacking the line for sure. Wighton had surprisingly high KMs last season though which is a worry. Do you think he pinched some or just guns it as an attacking weapon, like Cody Walker?
Damnit man, what with that whole spiel on his prowess as a footballer, and yet it was this line that piqued my interestWelshy wrote:
