There's enough midrange 2nd row options that if one of them misses out come round 1 it's not a big deal.

I know people will say Luai and Mann in your 17 is a bit rich with me poo-pooing a 25-30 point player in your FRF but the difference is flexibility. Because they are interchange not starting 13 it's easier to move them to npr at the earliest convenience. And they'll make more money than a bench FRF (probably) and I get an extra gun in.

Why will Drinkwater get the nod for starting 5/8th ahead of Clifford? It seems as if everyone is assuming that he will be playing QLD cup.

Well one of them will be playing Qld cup. Drinkwater may have played himself into that role. As a Cowboys fan I'm glad we have that problem.
