I prefer Shibasaki, but I'm unlikely to pick either.

Didn't O'Brien say he was buying Shibasaki to mould him into a 2RF when he bought him

Could open up spot for To'a with back 5 of Ponga, Lee, Moga, Hunt, To'a

Barry Toohey says replacement will be Moga assuming he makes it through trials okay as he has minor hamstring strain

No idea re 2rf, but the most recent info from Toohey a couple weeks ago was that Shibasaki will likely win right centre.

Rofl, season hasn't even started and Moga is broken.

Will probably do an ACL getting out of his car at the trials.

I know he's probably not a factor for anyone here, but I was keeping an eye on Hampton as a faint possibility in the centres if he could grab a starting spot somewhere on the field. I take it from this team list he's not even in the wider picture? Or is he injured? Just surprised he's not on this list anywhere because by the looks of some of those names, maybe even I was close to getting a run?

With all these injuries today I’m stunned that Reynolds isn’t one of them. I was going to avoid Haas and get Tapau with all of the Manly absentees, but now with Lodge gone for a long period Haas will have to play big minutes. That extra 200k went so far! No chance of cheap centres this year. Indeed, it is time to start again!

Base price 2RF who may get a decent run off the bench is Ray Stone from the Eels

Had a few missed tackles in the few games he played last year, but is a very busy player and may be in line for around 40 minutes game time this year.

These injuries make picking a strating team all the more important. I think last year I wasted trades on players during the year that were fill ins that weren't garunteed their spot and then players coming back injured and causing wasted trades. With my Edwards and Holland calamities last year, I was going to go into the season being ruthless and shift the dead weight right away. With injuries though this may be harder. Can't see holding trades being any easier this year than usual.

With what was looking like the most variety in starting teams I've seen in my fantasy career has done a complete 180 and similar teams is exactly what we are going to see. POD's also could be even more crucial if you can snag the right ones.

I'm certainly no expert, but I must agree. Can't see how Lodge's injury is going to impact Haas' worth in any way. I'll be curious if that's how people will be thinking.

I think the next 2-3 weeks will be great to have a look at players who may be hanging around the fringes of your team, or for someone to step up and grab some extra minutes here and there. No point tinkering with your teams because there will be so many more questions than answers over this period. May as well wait until TLT.

It probably won't but I guess the thinking is one of their most experienced props. I guess the thinking would be a bench player couldn't match the output and quality of Lodge which would mean more work for Haas, but that's probably not even a thing.

I don’t think Haas gets a bigger role if Lodge is injured. He’s pretty much at the limit of what’s possible scoring wise and Broncos have loads of forwards depth. Is this the crazy last stand of a Haas holdout?

EDIT: so yeah I’m a few minutes late on this one

Don’t start me again on Edwards. I kept keeping the faith and keeping the faith and in the end by round 6 or 7  it had cost me around 100-120k in the end I believe.
