Bench very light now. Haas 80 mins

Probably means macca will def be on the bench too instead of Paix
Souths will be meeting your mob up there in round 2.

I just hope it’s not a Haas and Fifita ambush!

For my fantasy team though, Haas, Fifita and Carrigan lock them all in, done deal!

I’m not sold on Drinkwater yet. I think he’s gonna miss quite a number of tackles and he won’t get many kick metres. Keep in mind he has this niggle as well keeping him out of this weekends trial so if Clifford plays really well that could be bad news for Drinkwater.

I’d love to know when Drinkwater averaged 60 last season in QLD cup in the halves if that was with good kick metres or not as well?.......... I just dunno if he gets the nod for round 1 if he’s just gonna average say mid 30’s Mann is cheaper by 55k and will probs average low 30’s anyways.

I have Pappy and Aekins but not sure on my other spot yet.

I have Brimson in their right now but just as of this arvo for some reason I seem to be losing a bit of faith in Brimson.

I see Drinkwater has got some minor injury & he's not playing but apparently will be right round 1. I hate players carrying injuries into the season.

I still disagree. At center you are happy getting 40s until the guy you purchased at 30 value peaks and sees you through to the byes. In 2rf getting 40s for a guy you paid 30 average for, he needs to be upgraded ahead of peaking, and well before the bye rounds.

Well obviously.... you can't start the game with your ideal 17 can you? SO you need guys making money for upgrades to that ideal 17

regardless of position, you have to have guys making money on their starting value in order to achieve your top 17. REGARDLESS of position.

Are you saying you only get guys in 2RF who average more than 40? or 50 to make them a 2rf gun???

What are you expecting from Keppie?
Well Fonua Blake isn’t back til round 4 last I checked so hopefully Keppie gets 45mins and can score high 30’s. Even when Fonua Blake comes back Keppie will hopefully make some more cash for another couple of weeks. No idea how much he makes but hoping he can make as close to 150k as possible.

If Jake Turbo is good for round 1 though Keppie may not see as many minutes as you’d think Waddell would get a good stint when Keppie comes off.

Jake Turbo being out round 1 imo is better for Keppie.

@White Lightning it is Mary we are talking about so you are probs right in saying he will stick with Lafai and Aitken.

Obviously we all hope Williame goes very well again when he does come on again this Saturday night.

As an example let’s say burns and Stimson both perform well and score 10 above their price point. Burns becomes a season keeper, while Stimson needs to be traded before he peaks or you are forced to have him as an npr and waste all that money that could be used in your playing 17

my tv broke wrote:Where did the 50 mins for Brailey stuff come from? I'm just digging around, can't find anything. Most recent comments from the coach from Fox article this morning are:

“We could roll with four forwards on the bench and have a Billy Magoulias or someone who could fill in in that spot,” he said.

“Or you could go with a traditional utility like a Connor Tracey or Braydon Trindall, or we could look to push Blayke out to 80 (minutes).

“There are a lot of positions up for grabs at this stage. There are still blokes in rehab and getting through their training loads so it’ll all be determined over the last couple of weeks of pre-season.”
It was an interview with Brailley himself, no idea what site it was on. Sorry.

Would this have been before the King injury?

I can’t see Tracey playing hooker off the bench so I think Magoulias will get the nod for round 1.

Issue with putting Magoulias in your emergencies will be how much game time he gets? That’s the concern I have as you really want him playing 30 maybe 35mins to be of value.

Sorry mate absolutely cannot agree with this! EVERY single person who has ever won the comp has started with players incl in the 2RF and hooker who have scored more than their starting price but still HAD to be upgraded later for a GUN.

I am only getting centres I expect 40+ from that are underpriced and 2rfs that I expect close to 50 from and are underpriced. Have stated from the start of jan that I plan to skip the Su’A and Stimson level and go straight to the next level that can average 50ish+.

It’s a matter of timing though. Anyone needing to be upgraded before they peak, loses out on value. At 2rf and even bench, 40 isn’t enough for a starting position and needs to be upgraded before they peak and before the byes

If Luciano starts in round 1 and the Tigers are carrying a utility in 14 which they will that’s even better for Luciano’s minutes and he will be in my team for sure! 503k and I reckon he can make 200k, so get in my team son cheercheercheer

Milch had half-joking mentioned that Drinkwater's avg, when starting as a half, was 60.

This is true based on the sample size.
