Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 8
Half time observations:
Luke Thompson and Alex Walmsley are both class and wouldn't look out of place in the NRL
Spine:
Tedesco hasn't skipped a beat. He still runs like he has spiders on him and the acceleration/change of direction is elite. Hard to see him not being the top WFB at the end of the year
Keary and Flanagan are still finding their feet as a partnership, to be expected. Attack looks very flat so far hoping to see a bit more depth in the second half. Hard to see which of the two is going to be the dominant half moving forward, so far in this game Keary has tried to take control
Friend is as advertised. Very busy in attack and defense even looking at the chance for a few kicks. Locked in for my team and should be for all serious teams
Left edge:
Tupou busy working out of trouble and strong defensively
Crichton has been caught out twice defensively with poor reads, once in the lead up to Luke Thompson try and the other just before half time which resulted in a forward pass. In attack he has had some good late footwork hitting outside shoulders of defenders and getting some good post contact metres and quick play the balls
Tupouniua is doing his job. Good line runner but needs a bit of aggression in defense
Right edge:
Brett Morris hasn't had a lot to do. Working out of dummy half but quiet otherwise
Manu shows flashes of brilliance with both ball in hand and defensively. Will be one of the best centres in the comp this year
Aubbo filling the role without skipping a beat. Spent a few sets defending in the middle once Butcher came on, not sure if that is a planned tactic to get Butcher some time a little wider
Middle:
JWH is still one of the best props in the world. Damaging with the ball, few dumb penalties that probably wouldn't be called by an NRL ref
Tauk starting how he finished last year. Lots of post contact metres and busy defensively.
Radley leading the defensive line and playing outside his weight class.
Bench:
Liu and Butcher have both worked well around the ruck with some late footwork. Butcher spent some time defensively out wide

Crichton knocked out... that'll be the widow to centre, which is always the danger.
* Edit* actually Tupionuia had gone to centre. Let's go Aubs

Nope! Sitili had gone off a few mins earlier with butcher to 2nd row.
Sitili came back on for crichton and has gone to ctr.

was only half paying attention and thought the commentators said Keary knocked out. Actually relieved someone else suffered a brain injury instead.

I think we're learning, if we didn't know already, that Jake Friend is not going to be taken off when matches are in the balance. Verrilis mightbget a run if Easts score another try.

25 pt try for Manu. 4 guys in front of him and he just goes "yeah im scoring a try here". Super strong

I think we’re learning if we didn’t know already that Flanagan isn’t the greatest goal kicker from the sideline

Re: NRL Fantasy 2020 Part 8
All the base price bench props we're looking at, might have to look at Lindsay Collins. Taking Tetevano's role as second bench middle (after Liu), and passing the eye test easily.

Goal kicking could cost the Roosters big time at a critical point this year. Flanno is very average.
Maybe Corey Norman can replace him?

Mins may be misleading with Crichtons head knock (which moved butcher to 2nd row and sitili to ctr)
He looks good though, really come on
