Last week Lomax had a good game, this weekend he didn't. Pretty normal for a fullback. He'll be ok.

    This.

He had a good trial then a bad trial. I think in season, he’s going to average mid 30s and have some big games and some poor ones.

As a Dragons fan he 100% has to stay at FB and develop.

As a fantasy player I think he was always a marginal pick and if you’re getting off him because Watkins or Shibs are looking solid at a cheaper price that makes sense. But if it’s because he went bad in the Charity Shield that pretty reactionary.

Assuming both named 6 I guess?

Drinkwater, and not close. Better player, higher ceiling, better DPP, plays for a better side. Worth 100-150 more than Mann imo who I think is just one loss away from becoming #14 or worse to allow Lino in

I think people might be expecting a bit much from Lomax. He's priced at 27 and should get a decent amount of base stats (RM + goals). I think he is good for an average in the low 30s. At C and and that price, that's good enough for me given the other options.

AL wrote:he is not a good kicker by any stretch but I concede he has made some minor improvement in the last year. His go to kick, from virtually any field position is the up and under and he doesn't really have any control of where it goes. It's like playing russian roulette, it could advantage either team.

This probably just sounds like a Broncos fan leaping to the defense of a player he likes, but I think Milfords kicking game is under-rated. That up and under junk though, I hate it... I have a feeling it part tactical (hoping for swirling ball), and often just because he finds himself out of position, or catching a bad macca pass.

When he kicks with purpose, he's been really good in the last year, or so.

My point still remains that I don’t think Croft will consistently get the bulk KM like Cleary/Moses does to elevate him enough in fantasy when he has poor attacking games

I think he will go better without the Smith shackles, but he’s middie enough that if he does elevate you can catch him early enough without paying a huge premium.

Bateman is out for 6 weeks, and half your team will either play minimally or not all in R1.

Friend and Koro are in my side, just a matter of whether I go Brailey or Levi now.

I like Levi but he can miss a number of tackles and Manly don’t have the strongest pack to start with.

Yeah i was surprised by him in the trial, did better than i expected, but not enough to make it into consideration for me just yet. If anything he just made me go a bit cold on Milf, as i thought maybe he would have made a decent POD gun half to start with this year.

Anyone got any idea how long Aekins played FB for panthers in the trial? Scored 18, and site says 48mins,but it says 48mins for everyone. Hoping he played just first half rather than full 80, as 18 from 80 will have me doubting the pick.

DCE would be the PoD gun half to start the year with around here.

Croft always has games where he looks incredible then you don’t see him for weeks. He should have some incredible go forward from that donkeys pack and a great supporting half in Milf. No excuses

Is there a chance he went missing for weeks because he wasn't allowed to take control and flousih with Smith around?

With Smith on the way out in next year or 2 would the Storm have put everything into trying to keep him if they thought he could lead them in a non Smith team?

I'm missing the punchline. Players in scoring 17 that may not even make their team's 17

yeah fair call, and I suppose it's not like Milford is any less of a dominant half than Munster is. So probably not much value in Croft I guess, I've just got a gut instinct this new opportunity may bring out the best in him, and fingers crossed he does lion's share of KMs. He's in my team ATM, for now at least.
