It'd be nice to save the trade and start with him, but I guess it's quite risky. Though surely he still gets decent minutes with Luke?

Shiba looks better by virtue of the fact that he doesn't play for the titans plus has marginally better stats but honestly just flip a coin

When you frame it like that, surely shiba is the safer option.
I just recall his few games at the Eels he looked like quite a good player.
I have personally been very unimpressed with Shiba (In game) and don't see what the hype is about.

I got some Wiliame stats from the 2015/16 seasons at the sea eagles.
23pt avg from 13 games at centre;
18pt avg from 10 on the wing.
seems a risk to run with two superleague centres in watkins and williame?
they never seem to do as well over here

I agree with the point about SL backs, they always do tend to struggle in the NRL. Wiliame is worth it at 246k and can probably turn that 23 average into 27 (10 points above breakeven is the sweet spot for cash cows right?) for some price rises. Watkins I'm not sold on at all, looking like an Aubo/Wiliame centre pairing for the time being for me

Might chuck Wiliame in 18-21 as cover. Pretty keen on running Aubbs/Lomax
Really not that keen on running a back up CTR with all the other options that should score considerably more

- Wiliame training at left centre with Lafai switching to Aitkens right (who apparently states he will fight his way back into the top 17)
- Williame gets a wrap from Merrin (teammate last year) and was apparently regarded as the comps best left centre
- Brittain and Luke will both be in the 17 man squad, with Brittain set to come off the bench

Don't be surprised mate if McInnes is back a lot earlier than expected. Brandy even said in the Charity Shield call that he could be back for round 1. Dunno where he got that from, and obviously not looking like the case but it would be a risky play.

With Aitken hot on the heels, Williame could only last a couple of weeks but then it's kind of silly not picking him for round 1. Tempted to chuck him in and play him.

Wouldn't recommend this mate.Wait for more concrete news but there was talk McInness could be back in the early rounds. Luke is an experienced hooker and hoping for an injury is never a great way to select your players.
Haha, yeah it's definitely a risky thought. I should add I'd not hope for a Luke injury. I just feel like, sadly, it's probably inevitable. But yeah, I did see word of the early McInnes return, which would probably be the main factor.

All the talk of Lomax, williame, Watkins, shiva and chricton it really hits home that we are all considering giant douches and turd sandwich’s.
Not sure the anxiety levels can handle watching those schmucks run around in opening round. Will have to have a gun next to them and I’ll just use a trade to buy the one that inevitably I missed. Rather than possible choosing two disappointments and not being able to afford to get rid of the

Trying to keep a little spare coin in the bank may be key to straight swap some duds for round 2.

Are you going to be less stressed seeing a Wiliame or Shibasaki score an 18, or a Burns or Staggs score a 28?

They are both poor choices that you are only selecting because you want to spend money elsewhere, so in one sense it doesn't matter.
They are both priced about the same (22), Watkins averages 24 at centre and Shibasaki averages 28, so unless you think Watkins has a lot of improvement in him, he is the one to ditch

There seems to be challenges for Aitken's spot every year, maybe he'll lose it for good sooner or later

I'd be happy with him jagging a 25 as a starting 13 to be honest.
