There was someone last year in one of the fb groups who had access to a backend system (i think it was for media/etc) which gave them the teamlists as soon as the nrl received them.

Of course, the access didn't last long once he started making it public

Teams used to get released by drip feed as they were announced. Meant you would spend all Tuesday afternoon refreshing pages constantly waiting for news. Great for page view metrics, but not at all productive
