Lomax Up vs Suli (Gut feel) Down?
Did have both, now have the Black Widow. Ripping my team apart left, right and centre.

No doubt the guy is a gun when playing 80 minutes but his stats really drop off after there. Playing any less than 70 minutes and he may not be worth it. To his credit he usually starts the season on fire and I can’t see him losing any money, but I am not as confident as others seem to be that there is good value there

If you start Walters in your halves you're kinda effed if the trade goes through though.. suddenly need to find a starting half

Expect Turpin to need a break rather than Haas

I'd expect them both to need a break, tbh. The Broncos bench is admittedly weird, but that's the Broncos for you.
Bird to lock? Oates to second row? All sorts of crazy shit possible.

It's really not that weird when you consider that the 4th bench forward for most teams often plays less than 10 mins game time.
Having an outside back on the bench isn't really that odd, plenty of teams are doing it. I'm a big fan of it and don't know why it hasnt become more popular with how many HIAs we see.
Teams running four forward benches in this day and age is just stupid imo.

Yeah, fair point, but it's usually back cover OR bench hooket but not both. Two middle forwards before everyone is season fit is still pretty weird imo.

I’m considering this and my contingency plan is that I have drinkwater in my back 3. Could slot into half and I’ll look for playable wfb or half
I think it is pretty important with the HIA, but the key is having versatility in the team to let you pull it off. Ricky seems to be a big fan of it, but then we've also get a pack who have nearly all spent some time in the middle or edges and half of them have played time in the centers before, as well as a FB who can play in the halves etc. We certainly aren't unique in that regard either and its probably why you see a lot of smaller packs, both for the ability to play longer minutes if needed and to have a bit more mobility if you have to shift some out wide in a pinch. HIA rules really had a big impact on the game (which isn't a bad thing at all)my tv broke wrote:

Thumbs up: Lolo + Mann
Thumbs Down: Williams + Cleary (Double gun halves)

Williams and Cleary but does it mean you have to ply someone rubbish on your bench because that’s what’s been happening to me with the gun halves, takes depth out of your side completely.
Don't you dare quash my fantasies with reality, that's what my alarm clock is forHoneysett wrote:I think a few people need to step back a little and think about actual rugby league.
I've seen some absolutely wild predictions of props moving to second row for a spell, props playing 80 minutes and other big minute predictions. It's round one and people are going to struggle for fitness and therefore the minutes they play round 1-3 won't be the same they play long term. Think long time and think about actual rugby league play not just fantasy.
