Not that Bird is probably gone I have put Shibs back into my centres. Gives me a stack of cash to spend. Swapping Aekins to TTurbo a good idea?

Okunbor is only 6 years older than the girl he slept with, while it's questionable whether he should be trying to pick her up from school that's not as perverted as the media are wanting to make it out. I'd bank that a lot of husbands and wives/exes on this forum have a bigger age gap. As long as the age of consent is there aside from a grey area of morality I don't see this being the massive issue that it is.

You can't have footy players hooking up with students of the schools they are visiting on behalf of their club. It just can't be done. Plus a 6 year age difference is relative. A 36 and 30 year old is a lot different to the age difference in this case.

Come on mate, she doesn't fit the half-your-age-plus-seven rule. You can't argue with science.

What about a 37 year old and a 25 year old? Asking for a friend...

Haha, that is acceptable. If it is you that has managed to pull that off then well played.

Basically the 6 year age difference is fine if they are both adults.

Also not sold on Mann but figured he's OK as a backup option because I don't really want to start Walters.

Alright, just finished my final team unless something emerges re: Stimson situation.

Click the shiny button bottom left to check him out, and please tell me whether I am delusional or not. Running gun halves at the expense of cheap centres and cookie cutter WFBs (with plenty of upside)

    FYI re Croft/Carrigan captaincy

"He will be out there for 80 minutes and Pat will be out there for 50 or 60 minutes.

"Under the rules you have to nominate two captains for the captains' challenge.

"So for me it makes sense."

I have somehow gained a bit of support for Mann.

Looking at his career stats at 5/8 he averages 37.6 over 79.2 minutes. Note there is a game in there where he got 8 points over 80 minutes so no clue what happened there? Possibly got moved mid game. All his 5/8 games are next to Pearce and I am pretty sure someone said the coach is a fan of him so his JS is pretty good? At the Knights he averages 30.6 tackles and 58.2 metres gained, which is pretty good for a 5/8. NOTE there is also a game where he scored a try and got 54 points, but this is his only try as a 5/8 over his career, take that out and he still averages 36.3.

It's not worth them losing their jobs over. Morally wrong but aside from that there's nothing illegal. If that's the case there would be charges. The media are making them out to be sexual predators. They've made an error of judgement on behalf of their club and nothing more. I hate the Bulldogs as well but I think it's storm in a tea cup.

I’ve been playing around with my halves so much. I find that I just can’t trust anyone but the premiums.
The only ones I was considering:

-JMK, but will take a while to build fitness IMO
-Hughes but halves relying on attacking stats irk me
-Croft but no guarantee to dominate the kicking game
-Mann is cheap enough That he’s no risk to being value but a few missed tackles could easily leave you with a score in the teens

I just don’t have enough faith in any of these guys, going Cleary and Moses is a huge splurge in one position, but it’s the only position that I am against every other option. DCE would come into consideration too but I think he is slightly overpriced.

Anyone else sold on going double guns in the halves?
It means I need to run a basement centre and 4th reserve (Wiliame, Walters/Musgrove) rather than more solid options (with Mann I could run Burns + Hess/Carty), but I think it is worth it for the security.

I agree that there is nothing really wrong with it, in isolation, but bigger picture, definitely potential to lose jobs over. There are reports that their new 2 million dollar sponsor is going to pull the plug because of this.

As others stated public perception is everything.

This has the potential to put all school visits by any NRL team under pressure. Schools will be thinking twice at very least.

Several Broncos fans saying Arthars will get FB shot. How would he go. Bulk of points seem to be making several tackles with few missed at Centre
